Apply here: https://tinyurl.com/SVP26summerapply Sansusī Summer '26 is a volunteering teams activity that aims to promote solidarity among the Sansusī community and communities it is connected with through volunteering, artistic and cultural activities. Activity is for 16 young people from EU and program countries. Idea is to create, develop and grow as human beings and improve inner artistic side of each volunteer. Everyone will stay in a rural area of Latvia - Susēja Artist Residence Centre - around 150 km from Rīga in Aknīste municipality. Residence centre also hosts a contemporary academic music and arts festival Sansusī on August 7-9. À propos de l'hébergement

The Center is a former guest house, so it is equipped with all the infrastructure needed. The Center main building has kitchen and dining area + 2 toilets. The volunteer house has two big dorm type rooms for 20 people for each floor and in total has 2 toilets and 3 showers. Area has 3 performing sites with stages - including dome stage that can host circus and other arts. Food - cook by groups as community, big kitchen available. Transport - walking, bikes, might be a small car available (for groceries and emergencies only), public transport and hitchhiking. Green travel highly needed.

À propos des loisirs

Learning by doing is main approach. 1-2 activity managers available at all times during volunteering time. Extra mentors from experienced team in various areas available. When needed practical workshops organised (bike use, waste sorting, cooking, tool use etc). Workshops in culture and arts sector available to support cooperation between volunteers will be organised when needed. Language learning workshops created if possible and required. Exigences

The Participant profile: The project will be hosting volunteers from EU countries, Ukraine and other program countries in the age from 18 to 30 years. The general profile: + motivation to learn, initiate, get involved in the activities of Sansusi; + education, experience or high level interest in the field of arts and culture + optional local volunteering experience in other organisations; + various background of life, interests, income level; + interest in working with local communities of rural area in Latvia; + interest in social inclusion + Valid visa in EU (no extra financial support allocated for Visa in this project and no time to make new one)

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
