À propos de l'organisme d'accueil local

The Association of Professionals of Horse Therapies (APTC) is a non-profit entity, adhered to the Young Plan of the city of Valencia, recognized as a provider of services by the Department of Social Welfare of the Generalitat Valenciana and accredited as a Service for the Promotion of Autonomy Personnel for Psychosocial habilitation services and Occupational therapy, Early Attention and Cognitive Stimulation. The Association emerged in 2007 with the aim of offering an inclusive therapeutic and equestrian leisure service for all people with special needs, both physical, mental and sensory, as well as those at risk of social exclusion. At APTC we carry out therapies with children with functional diversity of speech therapy, physiotherapy and neuropsychology in rooms or on horses, adapted riding and therapeutic riding. During the year school groups also attend to enjoy a day of leisure with horse APTC has a professional team made up of psychologists, speech therapists and physiotherapists who, together with equestrian monitors, carry out therapy sessions for children. The volunteers carry out an accompaniment and support function in the sessions, each afternoon they can accompany a professional doing different activities with the children and the cabins. Its a very beautiful experience and at the same time a bit hard. If you like this kind of collective, do not hesitate and try it!

Présentation du programme

The volunteers collaborate in the development of individual therapy sessions with horses and in group activites. The main tasks of volunteers are: - Provide security during therapeutic sessions - Carry out auxiliary tasks typical of the IAC -Accompaniment in the sessions directed by the professional experts/specialists in the IAC programs of the different modalities (hippotherapy, therapeutic riding, adapted riding) - Assist in the basic handling of the horse - Help in the preparation of the IAC horses (brushing, basic hygiene care) - Assist in the preparation and implementation of work material - Provide assistance in transferring users from the ramp to the horse, under the supervision and direction of APTC professionals - Show skills within the cooperative work of multidisciplinary teams - Collaborate actively in the assembly of work tracks, games, circuits... - Accompaniment in leisure days assisted with horses for people with functional diversity center.

À propos de l'hébergement

Covered transportation expenses to and from the country of origin. LOCAL TRANSPORT: The volunteers will have a transport pass to be able to move around the city INSURANCE: volunteers will be affiliated to a health insurance plan, according to the indications of the National Agency. ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD: The volunteers will be housed in single rooms. The option we value with more strength is a shared flat in the neighborhood of Valencia. They will receive pocket money and food on the first days of each month. LANGUAGE CLASSES: Volunteers will receive language if they need it.

The formations will be those of the ESC program. Training on arrival and intermediate training. From APTC a basic training is carried out at the beginning of the program about horses, therapies and children.

Exigences

The Participant profile: We are looking for young people motivated and enthusiastic. We would like to host volunteers from any European Union country Aged between 18-30 years. Basic Spanish languaje skills. Young people who want to carry out activities with children with functional diversity and horses outdoors. All volunteers should contribute to the visibility of the project and of the ESC programme.

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
