À propos de l'organisme d'accueil local

Waterford and South Tipperary Community Youth Service is a Youth Service that caters for over 4000 young people in the south east of Ireland. The organisation has been in operation since 1969 and works within Waterford City and County and part of south Tipperary. The organisation operates Community Youth Projects, Youth Diversion Projects, Youth Clubs, Community-Based and Outreach Drugs services, Youth Employability programmes and an education project for Early School Leavers. We also have an Intercultural Health Hub that works with asylum-seekers, refugees and other migrant communities. There are three active Youth Information Centres across the organisation and one Residential and Activity Centre. W.S.T.C.Y.S. collaborates with a wide variety of partners at local, regional and national level in order to deliver appropriate services and supports and to maximise outcomes for young people, their families and communities. Our overall aim is to assist in the personal, social, spiritual and educational development of young people, particularly those who are experiencing disadvantage and social exclusion; to enable them to exercise greater control over their lives by empowering them to make active choices and decisions, to exercise responsibility and to contribute to the development of their community, environment and society. The organisation provides a quality educational anddevelopmental youth work response, through facilitated positive group experiences
