Escuela Las Rosas is a school for children with special needs. Constantly they need help with these children, playing with them, teaching different things, and sharing with them. The mission of this school is to provide to the students a comprehensive program that includes: -Drug and alcohol prevention -Sexuality education -Environmental care -Promotion of healthy living

-Flexibility -Proactivity -Communicate with the leaders of the foundation Vision for Children -To assist other teachers -To interact with children -Get involved with daily team activities -Kitchen, cleaning, and woodwork Volunteers take the bus to get to school in the morning. Arrive to the school around 10 a.m. They must help in all activities, especially in class topics, breaks, and extra activities. The participants must prepare extra activities. Also, they share with children in lunch time, helping them to eat. Around 4p.m. they take the bus back to their residences.

Volunteers live in Our Student Residences or Host Families in Santiago City and go to the school every day or House of Hope Community may host the volunteers.

La Pintana neighborhood is one of the poorest and most vulnerable areas of Santiago. El Castillo is a ghetto community. There is a 30% of the youth that are 18 years old that do not finished highschool. Most kids suffer from domestic violence or live in orphanages because their parents cannot feed them or have judicial issues. Children are in much need of care and attention.
