Aims of project Global objective : The objective of this summer camp is to contribute to the improvement of social and health infrastructures in rural areas through the renovation of the Agomé Tomégbé dispensary. Specific objectives : - Develop and renovate the health centre building (painting and masonry); - Organize outings and awareness sessions on the fight against IST/AIDS; - Promote intercultural exchanges between volunteers and the local population. A propos de l'organisation localeThe NGO Association Togolaise des Volontaires au Travail (ASTOVOT) has more than 60 years of experience in the service of international volunteering and especially in the field of intercultural exchanges between young people from all countries of the world. Every year, it welcomes many volunteers from all over the world to Togo for its various short, medium and long-term volunteer projects (3 weeks to 12 months) as part of international solidarity actions. A founding member of the Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service (CCIVS-UNESCO), ASTOVOT is in partnership with several volunteer organizations in Europe, Asia and Canada. These projects are open to anyone who has acquired significant knowledge and skills related to the mission, wishing to enrich their experience and contribute their professional know-how. Our overall objective is to contribute to the development of the people involved in the projects and the beneficiary communities.

A propos du travail de volontaireWilling to promote exchanges in the handicraft domain and trying to valorise the products of local craftmanship, the NGO ASTOVOT sets up a new volunteering programm. It assists the workers of the artisanal centres and the „Collège d’Enseignement Artistique et Artisanal“(Artistic and Artisanal Teaching College) by giving all interested volunteers the opportunity to offer their experiences to the personnel and trainees in the handicraft domain. This project gives also the opportunity to learn and to exchange with them. If you would like to work in this domain and if you want to convey your talents and creativity, then this project is made for you. Objectives: • Convey one’s talents and creativity through organised workshops and artisanal productions; • Learn the local techniques in painting, in ceramics, in creating wooden sculptures, in batik, in weaving „pagne“, in tailoring …; • Share one’s passion and live a real artisanal and artistic exchange; • Discover the african craftmanship; Brief presentation of the „Collège d’Enseignement Artistique et Artisanal“ (CEAA - Artistic and Artisanal Teaching College) of Kpalimé: The artisanal centre of Kloto was founded in the late 1960s and is located in Kpalimé. This centre combines simultaneously the fabrication and the commercialisation of art objects and the formation of young trainees in these two sectors. One can found there a huge variety in artisanal articles: wooden sculptures, pottery, batik (impressions on fabric, T-shirts, „pagnes“, …), and macramé. It is the only public school that forms young people in the artisanal domain. The variety and the quality of the sculpture is surprising. One can find statues, coffrets, chairs and animals (elephants, gazells, …). Pottery is another speciality of the centre. Batik stained by hand and fabricated in a procedure with wax, can be found in the centre as well as fabric weaved with vivid colours by women. The so-weaved fabric shows traditional African motives of the life in villages and Togolese history. There are other artisanal centres in the municipality of Kpalimé which would receive volunteers and trainees too, depending on their wishes and motivations. Mission of the volunteer • Assist the instructors of the centre in their daily routine with young trainees; • Learn the techniques of the instructors and local artists. The presence of the volunteer/trainee encourages and stimulates simultaneously their creativity in several studios of the centre; • Work with young trainees and artists while helping them to develop their creativity and talents. The voluinteers/trainees will be most of the time in studios. The different studios are: • Pottery • Sculpture with wood • Tailoring (stylism and modelism) and hairdressing • Manufacturing of jewelry (earrings, bracelets) with natural materials (shells, beads) • Painting • Manufacturing of batik The volunteer is asked to show parts of typical handicraft of his/her country. This project isn’t a full-time volunteering project: you can combine it with little dance or percussion courses in order to complete the discovery of Togolese Culture and all its art expressions.

A propos du logement sur placeVolunteers live with host families. Part of the expenses are used for their accommodation (accommodation, food, electricity, water...) in the families. The volunteer is entitled to three meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner...). The host families have a long experience in hosting international volunteers. The volunteer's diet is respected.

Localisation du projetIn the host family, the volunteer has his or her own room with a bed, table and chairs. Weekends are free. The volunteer can organise leisure activities with other volunteers or with members of the host family.

ExigencesRequiered Qualification: Motivation, enthusiasm and interest in arts are sufficient to experience a fabulous stay.

A propos de l'organisation localeOur local partner is the local branch of FAGAD at Esse. It is helped by the village development committee. We work with them for years. With our one of our French partners, we have built a recreational center with library and the creation of income generating activities.

A propos du travail de volontaireTheme: Education and children’s leisure activities The objective is to get the children of this locality to discover the others with their cultures and ways of living, offer them a way to relax and express themselves in ways other than those they have habitually. At the same time liberate their parents for some hours. For this project, we also want to make the population conscious of the benefits offered by the trees. The young people of this area in collaboration with the FAGAD volunteers will plant trees on parcels of land particularly designated. This project is placed in the framework of sensitization and the fight against the rising temperatures of the climate. It is also a support for education by furnishing a source of finance for the school by way of planting fruit trees whose fruit will be sold. We also desire on this occasion to create a group dynamism between the young people on the one hand and the population on the other hand. Work to be done:  Take charge of the children in several domains, organizing a program of games, artisanal activities and sketches,  Provision of scholastic support for school studies ( holiday courses to get up to the necessary level ),  Guided visits…,  Pulling up plants, creating limits, digging, putting in posts, putting plants in the soil, watering.

A propos du logement sur placeVolunteers will be accommodated in a house that population give . Esse is electrified but often off. The village was the scourge of forrage own. The village youth volunteers often help. The food is both African and European. The village produces africa Djin, local djin. Drink with moderation

Localisation du projet. Location The population of the village according to census returns amounts to around 2 700 inhabitants. The projects focus on community development through education, health, the environment and intercultural learning. These projects are open to anyone who has acquired significant knowledge and skills related to the mission, wishing to enrich their experience and contribute their professional know-how. Our overall objective is to contribute to the development of the people involved in the projects and the beneficiary communities.

A propos du travail de volontaireEvery summer, the NGO ASTOVOT organizes a project of socio-educational activities and tutoring for students in the village of Yéviépé. Activities will take place in the new library built by Astovot and in the primary school in the village of Yéviépé. This project makes it possible to offer the children of the village several recreational activities and to improve the level of children in several subjects (Mathematics, English and French) before the start of the school year. The volunteers will work in collaboration with the members of the Village Development Committee (VDC). Aims of project - Organize lucrative and educational activities (games, dances, songs, sports, readings) in the library for the benefit of the village children; - Organize support lessons (French, English, Mathematics) to improve the level of children before the start of the school year; - Show documentary films to the children of the village ; Work The activities to be carried out will be: - Support courses for primary and secondary school students in subjects where they have more difficulty. Volunteers will be involved in learning the French language (reading, writing, conjugation, written and oral expression, etc.) and in calculation (Mathematics), English, etc. - The second part will focus on games and various activities in the village library (reading, drawing, singing and dancing competitions, etc.), writing a collection of stories, and screening films and documentaries for children. NB : School supplies and gifts will be distributed to students and the school at the end of the activities. It is advisable for volunteers to bring A4 sheets, coloured pencils, notebooks, pens, markers, children's games, educational materials and any other items deemed necessary for the project and for children (4 to 15 years old).

A propos du logement sur placeAccommodation Housing conditions are generally basic (especially in rural areas). The group is housed together in a house in which the volunteers have to share the rooms (usually 2 to 4 rooms). We have small mattresses and plastic mats that will be used as bedding for the volunteers. Because housing is often not equipped with beds. However, volunteers can provide small air mattresses or small floor mats, sleeping bags, mosquito nets ...etc. Food Volunteers prepare their own meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) on site. The dishes are varied and diverse with local and imported ingredients provided. However, the diet of each volunteer is respected and taken into account in the preparation of the meals. During the international days decreed on the workcamp, each group of volunteers (Europeans or Togolese) can present a typical dish from their country or continent.

Localisation du projetLeisure As part of the international workcamp, several activities are organized: discovery walks, hikes, festive outings, cultural meetings. These activities allow volunteers to get in touch with local populations but also to discover Togolese culture. During the weekends, group excursions are organized to discover the tourist sites of the region where the construction site is located. It should be noted that the participation (transport, visiting fees and other costs) of these activities are covered by the volunteers themselves. NB : Internet access and electricity are limited depending on the project areas.

Informations supplémentaires sur le projetFrench and English are the two languages of the project. However, French is the official language spoken in Togo. It is advisable for English-speaking volunteers wishing to participate in this project to have a minimum level in French, because a large majority of local volunteers and communities have a low level in English.

Our overall objective is to contribute to the development of the people involved in the projects and the beneficiary communities.

A propos du travail de volontaireThe project "Learning about agroecology" is a project that has been set up by the NGO ASTOVOT for a few years. It is in the context of sustainable agriculture and land preservation. It involves the exploitation of a market gardening plot in agroecology where a diversity of organic vegetables are grown for local consumption. This project has two components. The first component is the production of organic vegetables and the second is awareness and training on the implementation of the ecological garden and eco-gestures. By setting up this project, the NGO ASTOVOT intends to focus on the initial aspect of agro-ecology: in the form of agricultural and manual skills respectful of the fauna and flora, (no chemical inputs, with plant cover, associations of plants or vegetables, ...etc.) so as to enrich the biodiversity of the site and the fertility of the soil. Thus this project is also intended to be a crossroads for the exchange of skills, experimentation and promotion of organic crops between local and international volunteers. Our agro-ecological garden is located in an environment rich in biodiversity and vegetation, with a small river next to it which allows the watering of the beds. Aims of project - Preserve the biodiversity of the site ; - Promote the cultivation of various organic products (vegetables and fruits) through agroecology; - To encourage educational exchanges on agroecology and other practices of a more responsible agriculture ; Work : - Weeding ; - Board making, nursery, hoeing; - Compost making; - Protection of seedlings (shading), transplanting of seedlings, watering of seedlings of various cultivated vegetables; - Reinforce the garden fence; - Construction of a straw and bamboo straw hut for relaxation and conservation of tools and products; - Organization of educational activities in the garden with the children;

ExigencesThe participation fee is a contribution requested by Astovot from volunteers participating in international projects. Astovot as any association in Togo does not benefit from any subsidy from the Togolese State. It is the participation fees of the volunteers that enable Astovot to finance its projects. The cost of participation in volunteer workcamps amounts to 200€ per person for 2 to 3 weeks. This participation will cover : accommodation costs; food; accompaniment of the group; administrative costs; purchase of materials and equipment for the project. The funds paid by the volunteers are distributed as follows: 2/3 for the organization of the project activities and 1/3 for the administrative management of ASTOVOT.

A propos de l'organisation localeLocation Situated 120 km north of Lomé, the commune of Kpalimé is the ideal place for nature lovers and hikers who wish to discover beautiful mountainous landscapes and tropical flora. Numerous natural waterfalls will allow you to refresh yourself at the water's edge. Kpalimé is also home to the most important craft center of the country where a very large number of artists and craftsmen have settled. With about 101 088 inhabitants, Kpalimé is a tourist town in the Plateaux region. Chief-place of the Kloto prefecture, Kpalimé is home to numerous infrastructures such as : district hospitals, post office, town hall office, prefecture, police station, gendarmerie, banks, schools, etc. In short, all public and administrative services are represented. Apart from the public and administrative services, you will find art shops, shopping centres, bars, restaurants, discos, etc. The big market of Kpalimé comes alive every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and abounds in a multiplicity of products, vegetables of all kinds.

A propos du travail de volontaireIn partnership with the "Mother Teresa of Calcutta" Welcome House in Kpalimé, the NGO ASTOVOT is launching an international volunteering project this summer to help the staff of this charity house. Every day, the House welcomes poor sick people and people in precarious situations from different regions of Togo. This project will allow the volunteers to bring their compassion and love to the sick and poor people by participating in different activities that contribute to the improvement of their living conditions. The services rendered in this centre are multiple, varied and free of charge. The gestures to be carried out include medical care by assisting nurses and doctors, activities with patients, cleaning and cooking for patients, and maintenance of the premises. The volunteers will work under the supervision of the Sisters of the welcome house. Volunteers with training or experience in the medical or social field will be highly appreciated. Aims of project General objective : The objective of this summer workcamp is to contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of the sick and poor people hosted at the "Mother Teresa of Calcutta" house in Kpalimé. Specific objectives : - Fit out and maintain the premises of the centre ; - Participate in household chores (kitchen); - Assist the medical staff in the care of the sick Work Volunteers take part in the centre's activities. These are many and varied. - The volunteers will assist the health staff in medical care: treatment of patients, distribution of medicines, care, bandages, physiotherapy, massages... - Volunteers will maintain the green space of the center; - Volunteers will also assist in the households and kitchens: distributing meals, cleaning the dormitories, tidying the beds, peeling vegetables or tubers, folding laundry, cooking, washing up ... - Volunteers will offer games and activities to boost patient morale.

A propos du travail de volontaireKékéli Festival" initiated since 2016 by the NGO ASTOVOT, is in its 5th edition this year. This festival is a vehicle for promoting Togolese culture in all its diversity through local artistic and folklore groups. The theme of this year's edition is "Women, pillar of environmental protection". Women have an important role to play in the preservation of the environment and natural resources and in the promotion of sustainable development. In Togo, for example, the main responsibility for providing for the household falls on women, especially in rural areas, and they largely determine consumption trends. Thus, women have a fundamental role to play in the adoption of sustainable and environmentally sound consumption patterns, natural resource management and production. This project encourages women to become more involved in environmental protection activities through the organization of cultural and community activities. As usual, a cultural event will be organized at the end of the project where various folklore and artistic groups from the village will perform. It will also have other cultural activities around the theme of this edition, namely: fashion show in traditional dress, skits, Batik, health of public places ... etc... This Festival is for Astovot, a space for intercultural exchange and citizen expression. Aims of project - Organize cultural and community activities involving the participation of women and girls in environmental protection ; - Promote local artistic and folklore groups by providing them with a framework for expression designed to raise awareness of the issue of environmental preservation through eco-gestures; - Encourage the immersion of international volunteers in peasant families within the framework of cultural exchanges ; Work The first phase : - Formation of the volunteer art group ; - Group rehearsals (percussion, singing and dancing) ; - Organization of exchange meetings around the theme of publishing (local development actors, village associations, women's groups or cooperatives...) ; - Batik workshops ; - Sketch montages around the theme; - Actions of salubrity and environmental protection in the village ; - Accompanying artistic and folklore groups in the preparation of the festival ; - Immersions of international volunteers in the peasant families; The second phase : Organization of the festival (invitation of the folklore and artistic groups ; logistics, design of the communication supports, sound system, installation). - Arrangement of the hall or place of the show and installation ; - Planning of activities (group performances, sketches, fashion show...etc.) - Evaluation Thus, the festival will take into account the staging of the different folklore groups and also that of the volunteer group. It would be the place of expression and valorization of the Togolese culture. NB : Various prizes and certificates will be awarded to the different groups.

Localisation du projetLocation village: The village of Kuma-Apoti is one of the ten villages of the Kuma Canton. It is located northwest of the town of Kpalimé. Its relief consists of a vast plateau and wooded mountains. Kuma-Apoti is located in a humid zone and its climate, very particular for Togo, is much cooler and "temperate" than that of Lomé. The economy of the village is essentially based on agriculture, around which gravitate some commercial, artisanal and tourist activities. The agricultural sector employs about 80% of the population. The productions from which the population draws a meagre income are coffee and cocoa. Food crops ensure the subsistence of families: cereals (maize), tubers (yams, manioc) and legumes (beans). The region, which is fairly fertile, also allows the cultivation of fruits (banana, seedling banana, pineapple, orange...etc.). Leisure: As part of the international workcamp, several activities are organized: discovery walks, hikes, festive outings, cultural meetings.

- avoir 18 ans (si encore mineur, accord des parents exigé) ;
- l’association prône l’échange culturel, le partage des connaissances, la convivialité et le respect d’autrui. En ce sens, tout volontaire doit respecter toute personne qui vit sur le chantier (volontaires locaux, habitants des villages, volontaires étrangers…) et s'engager à accepter l’autre dans sa singularité, avec ses différences économiques, culturelles, morales, etc. ;
- chacun est libre d’exprimer son ressenti et de proposer ses idées afin de se sentir le plus à l’aise possible et tout ça dans le respect de l’autre ;

- les frais d’inscription ;

- la nourriture locale pour les trois repas de la journée ;

- le papier toilette, l’eau, l’électricité ;

- l’accès à un ordinateur et une clé internet que le ou la volontaire doit recharger à ses frais; les trajets à l’aéroport du volontaire ;

- la location du logement ;

- les déplacements lors des études de terrain ;

- les repas lors des déplacements liés aux projets ;

- les frais administratifs ;

- les frais internet (connexion réseau à titre professionnel) ;

A propos du travail de volontaireFirst part : Computer course for students Access to computer tools is still very limited in schools and universities in Togo. As a consequence, a large majority of Togolese pupils and students do not master computer tools. This becomes a real handicap in their school or university curriculum. Concerned about this observation, the NGO ASTOVOT sets up for the benefit of students in the commune of Kpalimé basic and practical courses in computer science and Internet tools for a period of three (3) weeks. The modules will focus on: discovery of computers and familiarization with a computer, connection, navigation, e-mail, downloading software and transfer of text and image files, discovery of social networks. Second part : Cinema-Debate for children In addition to the courses, the project offers the opportunity to make film and documentary screenings to the children in the afternoons with debates and intercultural exchanges between volunteers and the children. ASTOVOT has DVDs and projection materials. Aims of project For the first part : - Learning how to use the computer and its accessories; - Discovering the internet, search engines, web browsers ; For the second part : - Showing documentary films which in the end provoke debate and exchange of ideas among children; Work First part : - Registration of pupils and students interested in the training + presentation of the training program ; - Implementation of the training program (introduction, basic computer notions, discovery of the computer and use of Windows, learning the keyboard, typing in Word and Excel, creation of an e-mail account, introduction to searching for information on the Internet and use of social networks); - Evaluation and delivery of certificates to the participants Second part : - Choice of films or documentaries; - Arrangement of the projection space ; - Preparation and installation of the projection equipment - Supervision of children ; - Screening of the film or documentary; - Intercultural debates and animations NB : ASTOVOT has a computer pack of more than ten laptops and projection equipment.

A propos de l'organisation localeOur local partner ther is the village development committee and the project nursery group with FAO. With them we work for environmental protection, site protection TUTUTO. A cultural heritage site.

A propos du travail de volontaireTheme: Creation of green villages for ecological tourism The objective is to transform the village of Kpékpéta into a green village. An ecological village where the population is led to provide a good example to other villages in the domain of the management of territory. Work to be done:  Prepare a map for the transformation of the territory of the village ;  Lead the population to understand what is ecological tourism;  Trace out the streets and planting them with trees;  Prepare spaces ( creation of green areas );  Identification of banks of the water course and planting trees there;  Planting an area with trees for the provision of firewood;

A propos du logement sur placeVolunteers will be accommodated in a house (local not modern) setting available by villagers. A kpékpéta there is no electricity. The toilet and shower are traditional. Some villagers use the solar panels to charge devices like lamps and FAGAD does. Mattresses are provided by FAGAD each volunteer. Food is Togolese, African, European and often through. What is certain, foods on our sites are appreciated by the volunteers. Everything is done by volunteers themselves. They are often helped by the population.

Localisation du projetLocation Kpékpéta is a village of around 2 000 inhabitants. It is situated 30 kms from the town of Adeta, the main center for the Prefecture Kpélé – Adeta: the large town where a Post Office, a bank, a police station and medical – social center are to be found. Access to Kpékpéta is complicated by the fact that the road is in a very bad state of repair. This has not left the Togolais government indifferent leading, in the near future, to a programme of road work.Kpékpéta has a primary school, a dispensary and a little market which is open every Saturday. Major needs for food and other products are met by an expedition to Kati or to Adeta. The main activity in the area is agriculture. The village has no access to electricity: therefore any initiative leading to the installation of system of solar panels is to be encouraged. Leisure Artistic activities Learn the techniques of batik, sculpture Cultural Activities Percussion ( Djembé ) and dancing around the fire A day with a family ; a day’s immersion with an African family organized around the following themes: animism, putting the village chief in place, traditional marriage, a day in the camp site.

A propos du travail de volontaireThis summer ASTOVOT in collaboration with the village of Agou Kébo Dogbadzi is launching a school support project for the benefit of the children of this village. The tutoring will be coupled with socio-cultural activities for the development during the holidays. The activities will take place in the primary school of the village. This project will improve the children's level in several subjects (Mathematics, English and French) before the start of the school year. The volunteers will work in collaboration with members of the Village Development Committee (VDC). This project is also intended as a framework for cultural exchanges where the volunteers will be immersed in farming families to discover their traditional ways and practices. Aims of project - Provide courses (French, English, mathematics) to improve the children's level before the back-to-school season ; - Organize lucrative, educational and sports activities (games, dances, songs, football gala, readings) ; Work The activities to be carried out will be subdivided into three parts : - The first component will be devoted to support courses for primary and secondary school students. Volunteers will be involved in learning French (reading, writing, conjugation, written and oral expression, etc.), numeracy (mathematics), English ... etc. ; - The second part will revolve around games and various activities (percussion, reading competitions, drawings, songs and dances...) ; - For the third part, it is about immersion in the peasant families: spending time with the families, accompanying the families in their various activities (daily tasks, field work...etc.); NB : School supplies and gifts will be distributed to the students and the school at the end of the activities. It is desirable that volunteers bring A4 sheets of paper, coloured pencils, notebooks, pens, markers, children's games, teaching materials and any other items deemed necessary for the project and for the children (4 to 15 years old).

These projects are open to anyone who has acquired significant knowledge and skills related to the mission, wishing to enrich their experience and contribute their professional know-how. Our overall objective is to contribute to the development of the people involved in the projects and the beneficiary communities.

A propos du travail de volontaireLaunched in 2018, the "Support for Youth Entrepreneurship" project is in its 3rd edition this year. Each summer a group of local and international volunteers carry out activities within the framework of this project to support youth entrepreneurship initiatives. Despite the employability programmes set up by the Togolese government to promote youth entrepreneurship, a large majority of young people lack knowledge, technical and financial support. Therefore, ASTOVOT is initiating this project for the third time in order to give them the necessary tools to create and manage their own economic activities. For this edition, the aim is to identify and support the micro-projects carried out by young girls and women in the commune of Kpalimé by giving them the tools to better manage their activities and make them more profitable. At the end of the project, at least one (1) of the supported projects will be financially supported through Fundraising. To achieve this, international volunteers willing to participate in this project will be networked with local volunteers to work on Fundraising. The local and international volunteers will choose the winner according to the criteria defined by the group as a whole. Aims of project - Linking local and international volunteers for fundraising before the project starts ; - Identify ten (10) micro-enterprises carried by young girls or women of Kpalimé ; - Carry out organizational diagnostic studies in the selected micro-enterprises; - Restitution of the results of the diagnoses carried out ; - Organize a workshop for exchanges and presentation of the tools for effective management of micro-enterprises in the presence of the promoters; - Choose the project to be financed according to the criteria; - Promote cultural and skills exchanges between participants and volunteers; Work Mobilization of funds through Fundraising before the start of the project; - Brainstorming on project progress and planning of activities; - Elaboration of questionnaires for data collection in the field; - Census and selection of ten (10) micro-enterprises (field survey) ; - Carrying out organizational diagnosis among the ten (10) selected micro-enterprises; - Analysis and restitution of the results of the diagnosis; - Organization of exchange workshops with the promoters of the selected micro-enterprises ; - Financing of the project selected by the whole group of volunteers ; - Monitoring and evaluation of the project ;

The group is housed together in a house in which the volunteers have to share the rooms (usually 2 to 4 rooms). We have small mattresses and plastic mats that will be used as bedding for the volunteers. Because housing is often not equipped with beds.

A propos du travail de volontaireIn Togo, many people are still unaware of the basic gestures for rescuing victims of a road accident or an incident affecting the physical body. In view of the increase in road accidents in recent years in the town of Kpalimé, the NGO ASTOVOT has been implementing a training and awareness project on "life-saving gestures" for the past three years. The project consists in raising awareness and training in particular motorcycle taxi drivers commonly called "Zémidjan" and in general all road users on life-saving gestures so that they can have basic knowledge in the field of first aid in case of traffic accidents or other incidents (trauma, cardiac arrest, bleeding ... etc.). This project will not only enable the beneficiaries to have reactions adapted to first aid but also the necessary provisions to prevent, limit or remove an imminent danger in the event of an incident and also how to alert the emergency services. Aims of project • General objective The overall objective is to contribute to the awareness and training of local communities on "life-saving gestures" for a better care of victims in case of any accident before alerting the rescue or emergency services. • Specific objectives - Strengthen solidarity between citizens through the learning of first aid techniques ; - To train the volunteers on first aid gestures so that they in turn become trainers on the project; - To sensitize and train motorcycle taxi drivers and the population in life-saving gestures through practical demonstrations at the different parking points in the city ; Work Each edition, the project is supported by a team from the National Federation of Civil Protection of Togo (FNPC). This training will focus on learning the first aid gestures. The trained volunteers will in turn train motorcycle taxi drivers and other road users on different first aid modules. They will set up a detailed programme to provide first aid in different places in the municipality with the authorization of the town hall. The main lines of the training will be: "Securing the scene of the accident and the people involved - Assessing the victim's condition - Asking for help - Dispensing first aid. The basic gestures that will be taught are : Choking - Bleeding - Unconsciousness - Cardiac arrest (first aid and defibrillation) - Heart attack.
