The Charitable Foundation "House of Providence" is a non-profit organization created by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Chisinau, that aimed to help children and the elderly. With the beginning of war in Ukraine working with refugees. A dynamic and enthusiastic team, assisted by volunteers from different countries, implements a varied number of charitable projects and activities. As a European center of education have a structure of the hotel many conference rooms, etc for organizations and different event, due to the war in Ukraine using their territory as a temporary shelter for Ukrainian refugees (more than 120 people in the same time). Providing shelter, alimentation, activities with kids, and legal support.
We are looking for volunteers willing to help us in the host projects working with refugees from the Ukraine in Moldova. Volunteers will have activities in the organization no more than 35 hours per week around 7 hours per day. • Helping in the canteen. • Assisting at the reception desk, helping new arrivals on night shifts • Activities with refugees’ kids. • Language lessons for refugees • Helping in the warehouse • Making cleaning and order together with staff and beneficiaries • Can be other activities related to the shelter needs
Volunteers will live in the shared apartment; they will have a private room and will share utilities with flatmates.
Chisinau, Moldova
The placements are open for motivated adults (18+) or youth groups accompanied by the adults.
