Escola Waldorf Jequitibá-Rosa is an educational community in Brazil inspired by Waldorf pedagogy. The school focuses on the integrated development of thinking, feeling, and willing through creativity, imagination, artistic expression, nature, and community life.The project offers volunteers the opportunity to experience an alternative educational philosophy while participating in a collaborative and community-oriented environment. Volunteers are considered active participants in the educational journey rather than simple assistants.The organization welcomes both short-term and long-term volunteers. Longer stays are encouraged to allow deeper integration into the rhythm and pedagogy of the school.

Volunteers may participate in several activities within the school community:● assisting teachers in classrooms, especially with language exposure, arts, and crafts ;● supporting outdoor activities and nature-based learning ;● helping during school events, festivals, and community gatherings ;● participating in gardening, maintenance, and sustainability projects ;● sharing cultural experiences, languages, and personal skills with students and staff.Activities are guided according to Waldorf educational principles and adapted to the developmental stages of the children.Volunteers usually contribute around 24 hours per week.● school schedule from Monday to Friday, 07:15 to 12:15 ;● occasional weekend events where extra support may be appreciated but remains optional.Minimum duration: 1 month.Maximum duration: 6 months or longer depending on agreement.

Accommodation is not currently provided directly by the organization.● hotels and Airbnbs are available in the city at reasonable prices ;● host families within the community may also be arranged in the future.

The school community may help provide meals for volunteers, especially lunch and dinner.

The project takes place in Marília, Brazil, located around 500 km from São Paulo.The school is situated within a natural and community-oriented environment that promotes a slower and more conscious rhythm of life connected to holistic education and community values.

● minimum age: 21 years old ;● openness, flexibility, and willingness to engage in community life ;● interest in education, especially Waldorf pedagogy ;● appreciation for nature, arts, and cultural exchange ;● emotional maturity and responsibility ;● experience with children or education is considered a plus ;● motivation letter encouraged ;● basic communication in English or Spanish may be useful, although Portuguese is the official language.The organization is open to considering volunteers with reduced mobility, although accessibility may be partially limited due to the natural terrain and infrastructure.
