CHANTIERS ACTIONS CITOYENNETE ET INCLUSION AURA, PROJET ETUDES ET CHANTIERS (CACIAURA, projet Etudes et Chantiers) is a non-formal education association created in December 2017 and is part of the national movement Etudes et Chantiers that counts 6 regional associations in France. The national movement Etudes et Chantiers was created in 1962 by several Youth movements and follows the idea of non-violence and humanism as well as international co-operation and exchanges in the “Education Populaire” movement – a French concept meaning non-formal education. We are committed to the fight against exclusion and in the world-wide movement of international voluntary services (short term and long term) through partnerships with 130 organisations in more than 70 countries. Our organisation is member of national networks such as COTRAVAUX and international networks such as the CCIVS (UNESCO) and Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations, through our National Association Etudes et Chantiers (ANEC). The aim of CACIAURA, projet Etudes et Chantiers is to develop non-formal education, social and solidarity economy, inclusion, sustainable development, interculturality and solidarity, relying on workcamp pedagogy and technical and pedagogical animation. CACIAURA, projet Etudes et Chantiers has inherited the knowledge, competences and quality of a previous association. Today's association organises, as previously, international voluntary services, especially group volunteering projects and supports youngsters wanting to commit in voluntary projects. Our projects cover various themes such as environment, heritage, and social inclusion. Moreover, we organise local actions all year long (events, conferences, debates…) with youth, to promote international mobility, citizenship and involvement through non-formal education tools and animations. CACIAURA, projet Etudes et Chantiers develops learning methods, tools and measures for volunteers to develop and gain different skills and competences for their personal, social, civic and cultural development. The association trains its employees, project leaders and volunteers so they are capable to use these tools and regularly actualizes the learning methods. CACIAURA has special partnerships with youth socio-educational structures and migrant structures. Projects are open to everyone, from any social, educational, economic, religious background. We work for social inclusion, active citizenship and community development. Moreover, other permanent projects on social inclusion are starting to bud.

The project takes place in Gannat, in the Allier department, between Clermont-Ferrand and Moulins. For the 52nd year, the city is hosting the Cultures du Monde festival, an unmissable cultural event in the region! Volunteers will have the opportunity to explore the town and its surroundings, which boast a rich medieval heritage. Come volunteer with others to share the cultures of the world with as many people as possible! The festival is a unique place to meet hundreds of folkloric dancers and singers from around the world. This year, the festival will take place from July 21 to 26, 2026.

Volunteers will be accommodated in tents, on a dedicated green area of the municipal stadium. Each volunteer will have their own tent, and they will have access to a building with all amenities. Outdoor spaces will be available for resting, socialising, and shared meals.

During your volunteer placement, you will benefit from expert guidance. During festival periods, you will be supervised by team leaders who will explain your daily tasks in detail.
