Are you looking for an opportunity to make a real impact, gain international experience, and become part of a community in one of Europe's most digital capitals? Located in the heart of Tallinn, our youth center welcomes young people aged 7-26 from different cultural, linguistic and social backgrounds daily. This experience is not about making coffee nor doing routine tasks. We want volunteers to be creative, take initiative and develop their own ideas. As a volunteer, you will become an active member of our team. You will support youth activities, help organize events, workshops and community projects, share your own talents and culture, and bring fresh ideas to our daily work. Whether you are interested in art, music, sports, media, languages, digital skills or social activities, there is room for you to contribute in your own way. Living in Tallinn combines city life, rich history, youth culture and nature, offering an inspiring environment for meaningful volunteering experience.
Volunteer will possibly be living in a shared household (sharing the living space with other volunteers). We will try to host everyone in a single room but some volunteers will evidently have to share a room with another person. The commute to work and back will be paid by the organization. International transport: The travel grant depends on the travelled distance the amount for round tickets will be calculated by European Distance Calculator. Pocket and food money: According to ESC programme guide, the financial support is 6€/per day and 5/per day to cover their food cost in Estonia.
The volunteer is assigned a tutor and a daily supervisor to support integration, learning and development. They can choose a field of interest and initiate an activity-based club for young people. Working time is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Free days are provided according to ESC rules. The volunteer participates in ESC trainings in Estonia and receives continuous mentoring, feedback and support. They are involved in planning, implementing and evaluating youth work activities, gaining experience in communication, teamwork, project and event management.
The Participant profile: We are looking for a young person aged 18–30 who is interested in youth work and in working with young people aged 7–26. We value initiative, teamwork skills, openness, motivation, and a strong sense of responsibility and reliability. Volunteers are expected to actively participate in the activities of the youth centre, be ready to communicate with young people, and show interest in contributing to the implementation of leisure and educational activities. At the same time, volunteers are encouraged to share their own ideas, initiate activities and workshops, and share their culture, knowledge, and experiences with young people. Volunteers have the opportunity to shape their activities according to their interests, strengths, and learning goals. The volunteer should be ready to learn the Estonian language during their stay, as this supports daily communication with young people and better integration into the local community. We are looking for an international volunteer who values a positive and supportive working environment, good professional relationships, and a friendly and respectful attitude towards colleagues and young people.Deadline: 12/07/2026 20:22
