The volunteer will work in the educational intercultural centre ‘Alveare’- a youth centre for Italian and foreign children and youngsters, at "Locanda di Maria", the dinner soup kitchen: a place in which volunteers, young people and people suffering from any social exclusion can work towards a new food and reuse culture to promote social inclusion and international solidarity. In addition, they will support the Youth Department with school meetings in which they promote European opportunities for young people. The volunteer will implement the co-working space in the city centre – ‘TRAME’ - with an info point about volunteering experience and activities for young and elderly people (like an English and Creative lab). In addition to this, the group of volunteers will implement the IG account dedicated to the ESC experience in Agrigento and a podcast about youth participation in social life.

The cost of accommodation and the food allowance — 160 euros per month — is covered by the host organisation. The accommodation consists of a private apartment with the possibility of single and/or double rooms, fully equipped with household appliances and Wi-Fi. In addition, the volunteer will receive pocket money (approximately 180 euros — 6 euros per day) for personal expenses. The travel costs (round-trip ticket) are covered up to a maximum amount according to the distance band. Complimentary insurance for each volunteer (provided by the Henner company) is also included.

The volunteer will be included in the TEC (Training Evaluation Cycle) managed by NA and will attend the training occasions proposed by the Hosting organisation. In addition, volunteers will attend an Italian course managed by the hosting organisation.

The Participant profile: We are looking for volunteers interested in gaining experience abroad, exploring different cultures, and enhancing their skills. Candidates should have a passion for working with children and young people, as well as a commitment to social dialogue and inclusion. They should also be motivated to share their experience of European citizenship through peer-to-peer activities with other youngsters.Deadline:
