Act for Transformation, established in 2007, is a dynamic non-profit dedicated to civil conflict transformation, peace education & global learning. Our mission is to foster positive change, particularly among youth, refugees, teachers, students, and marginalized groups Key Activities: -We collaborate with partner schools, youth clubs and advancing global learning, inclusion, and democracy education. -Actively participating in different volunteer programs, we annually send and host volunteers, supporting projects in Georgia, Armenia, Uganda, Sudan, and Georgia. -Conducting courses like "fairtogether" and "Demokratie Berater," we train multipliers, with a special focus on marginalized youth. Since 2020, 100 youth have been trained in the fairtogether methodology. -Engaging in projects since 2016, we focus on capacity building among marginalized youth in Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, including training courses and organizing intercultural exchanges. -Coordinating the "Ukrainian support network" in Aalen, we provide inclusion activities and psycho-social support to Ukrainian refugees. -In 2022, we have hosted a Civil Peace Service Worker from Sudan, contributing to peacebuilding efforts and fostering collaboration between communities. Join Act for Transformation’s Caucasus Office in the heart of Tbilisi and become part of community-based peace education and intercultural work in Georgia. As a volunteer, you will support activities focused on peacebuilding, nonviolent conflict transformation, intercultural exchanges, and youth participation through our “Fairtogether” methodology. You will work together with local communities, young people, refugees, and international partners in an intercultural environment. Your activities may include: Supporting workshops and trainings on peacebuilding, nonviolent communication, etc. Supporting youth and refugee community activities Assisting in or leading English or German language activities Supporting communication, creative activities, and community initiatives Developing your own small-scale project or initiative
Accommodation, food allowance, insurance, travel costs, and monthly pocket money are covered through the European Solidarity Corps.
Volunteers receive: Pre-departure preparation On-arrival and mid-term ESC trainings Regular mentoring and reflection meetings Ongoing support from the project team throughout the experience Volunteers also take part in regular online exchange meetings organised by the sending organisation, together with other international volunteers, for reflection, support, and the sharing of experiences.
The Participant profile: We are looking for motivated young people aged 18–30 who are: Open-minded, responsible, and curious about other cultures Interested in peacebuilding, democracy, youth work, intercultural learning, or community engagement Motivated to learn, contribute, and work with diverse communities A working knowledge of English is important for communication and activities. Knowledge of German, Georgian, or any other languages is an advantage, but not required. Previous experience is welcome, but not necessary. We especially encourage applications from people with diverse backgrounds and those with fewer opportunities. This volunteering experience is ideal for young people interested in peace education, intercultural learning, community engagement and international cooperation.Deadline: 30/06/2026 23:59
