Piece of My Heart 8.0 is an ESC volunteering project of Association Co-Efficient in Budapest. It is based in the EKH Community House, an inclusive and accessible space where young people with and without disabilities can meet, learn and participate together. Volunteers help organise local clubs, workshops, school activities, youth exchanges and community events. They also support young people with disabilities through personal assistance, accompaniment, mobility support and inclusive social activities. The project exists because many young people still face social, physical and communication barriers that limit their participation in community life. By using non-formal education, solidarity and everyday cooperation, the project creates safer, more welcoming spaces and helps build a society that adapts to diverse needs instead of excluding people.

Accommodation is provided in a rented apartment close to the Community House. Volunteers have their own sleeping space, and the kitchen and bathroom are equipped. Food allowance and pocket money are transferred monthly. Volunteers receive a Budapest public transport pass, which is reimbursed. International travel costs are reimbursed according to the Erasmus+ distance calculator.

During the opportunity, volunteers receive continuous learning support. They take part in a one-week in-house training at the beginning, extra training days during the project, and practical preparation on working with people with disabilities. They also receive one-on-one mentoring twice a month, 20 hours of Hungarian lessons, and training organised by the National Agency.

The Participant profile: We are looking for volunteers aged 18-30 with a background in social work, psychology, education, special needs teaching, youth work or other helping professions. Applicants with studies or experience in communication, PR or marketing are also welcome. Participants should be open-minded, reliable and respectful, with a strong interest in inclusion, solidarity and community work with young people with disabilities. More information about the tasks and the participant profile is available in the infopack, where you can apply before you submit your application through the EYP portal. If you don't apply via the link in the infopack, we won't contact you. Important: According to the new rules of ESC, we can only invite 1 volunteer from third countries not associated to the programme (partner countries). https://drive.google.com/file/d/10DFe1qQqD2Uq0sWPVcMAb8IngbxHNeSd/view?usp=sharingDeadline: 16/07/2026 00:04
