About the local hosting organization

Our NGO promotes citizenship, intercultural dialogue & international mobility for young adults from 16 to 30, regardless of their qualifications & experience.PRESENTATION OF PARCOURS LE MONDEParcours Le Monde Grand Ouest is a non-profit organization which aims to promote international and European mobility and intercultural dialogue and citizenship via formal and informal education methods. This is especially for young adults with fewer opportunities. Our purpose is to help them to create social connections, develop their independence as well as social and professional integration.In our association, we sensitize, train and accompany young adults before, during and after their mobilities. So, we are looking for partners who are interested in receiving these young people on different programs like “Youth Exchange” and/or “Short-term European volunteering” etc…Through our “Osez l’international” project, we aim to facilitate European mobility for young adults, regardless of their qualifications. We consider it to be a “structuring” part of their personal development, as well as their social and professional integration.OUR PUBLICThe vast majority of the young people accompanied by our organization comes from local community projects and neighborhood associations. Most of them have Level IV qualification or less and face several difficulties in integration (such as educative, social, economic, geographical issues). Many of the young people accompanied by the project live in underprivileged areas.OUR MOTIVATIONFor the young adults of this scheme, mobility abroad can have a leverage effect. It is also a mobilizing and enhancive tool during the personal development, and for social and professional integration. A departure to abroad country alone, without mentoring and for a long period of time, is not possible for everyone. In fact, some young adults are quite reluctant to launch their own projects of mobility without being accompanied. Therefore, they seek a secure and organized structure for their first-time abroad.International mobility through volunteering is an ideal instrument for this young public. It offers a safe departure and links with an organization which is able to assist and provide them with tutorship. Being engaged in a project which merges citizenship, active involvement, non-formal education and social activities gives to these young adults, who are often in a dynamic of failure, the opportunity to succeed. Discovering new people and a new culture and experiencing another way of life will provide them with a sense of independency, a new open-minded vision, a better understanding of others… This kind of experience is particularly positive for these young people.

Presentation of the programme

VEIA is a project created by the Parcours le Monde that brings together 25 ESC volunteers and aims to promote intercultural understanding, mobility, European values, and diversity throughout the Pays de la Loire region, targeting young French people directly. We are looking for a SPANISH volunteer to serve as an ambassador for the City of Angers in Valencia (the two cities are sister cities). The selected Spanish volunteer will work and live in a shared apartment with the ambassadors from Austin and Osnabrück. Here are some examples of tasks: - Promoting Spanish culture: leading workshops for children - Creating a photo exhibition on the City of Valencia - Organizing the “Premier Plan” Festival: a film festival in Angers - Leading language and intercultural workshops for various audiences - Seeking partnerships with the City of Valencia, translation, communication... - Participating in forums, seminars, trade shows... About the accomodation

House : The place you will live in is located in the city center (10 minutes away from the main square). Photos in the infopack. The city provides this accommodation for all the ambassadors and volunteers ! You will share a big house with 2 other ambassadors from Osnabruck and Austin. Food: The volunteers will have money every month to do their shopping at the supermarket. They will be independent for shopping and cooking. About the leisure activities

The volunteers will participate in gathering organised by the National Agency (arrival and midterm training) The volunteers will also participate in regional gatherings alltogether organised by the organisation Parcours le Monde: - Training to learn the basic tools of popular education and facilitation - Sharing tools and good practice with professionnals and others volunteers - Creating seminars and events for the local and international youth on the SDG's thematics

Requirements

The Participant profile: - Only spanish volunteers - if possible native from Valencia - A medium or good level of French is required - Someone who is motivated, curious, and dynamic ! :) - Someone who like working in team - Someone interested in working with young people, sharing its experience, promoting interculturality and international mobilityDeadline: 10/08/2026 12:00
