G.F.C. Generation for Change CY (hereafter referred to as GFC) is a grassroots nonprofit striving for a diverse and inclusive society where everyone has equitable access to opportunities in Cyprus. GFC is committed to achieving positive social change through supporting vulnerable and marginalised communities – including but not limited to persons of low socioeconomic status, refugees, asylum seekers, migrants, and any persons facing discrimination. In correspondence with core EU values, GFC seeks to harness the power of diversity to advocate a fair and inclusive society. Since its founding in June 2020 and official registration in December 2021, the organisation has been working extensively, sustainably, and meaningfully with populations experiencing challenges and fewer opportunities. GFC has three pillars of action. 1. Humanitarian Aid 2. Empowerment and Integration 3. Advocacy and Interculturalism In their first pillar, more than 3000 households have benefited, receiving packages containing food, clothes, hygiene essentials, and other basic items. Within their second pillar, offering skills development and psychosocial services and activities, including language learning, employability and sports, at least 1500 participants have benefited. In its third pillar, it has engaged in numerous advocacy actions and organised 11 cultural and sports events bringing people from diverse backgrounds to interact, leading to a more just, accepting, and cohesive society.
