Komm!unity is a non-profit NGO based in Wörgl, that is specialized on youth, integration and community work. The association was established in 2012 and has been growing since. komm!unity networks with committed people and organisations, takes up exciting and meaningful initiatives, implements projects and events for a vivid and inclusive society. We run seven youth centers (open youth work), a street work department (mobile youth work), a youth information center, an integration and diversity department and a leisure time work project for youngsters. Additionally, we manage a small culture facility in Wörgl. Our target groups are young people and migrants in our region. Furthermore, we also work with multipliers (all people in our region working or living with young people and migrants) and the local community in general. We organize events for our target groups in and around Wörgl and run different social projects in our working area. Our youth centres work according to the principles of professional open youth work and are places for young people between 10 and 18 years to spend their leisure time. The youth centres provide space for various needs of young people and are open to all, regardless of social, religious or ethnic background. The volunteers we host, are mainly supporting the teams of our youth centers, but can also be involved in other departments and projects, according to their interest.
BETA is part of Volkshilfe Tirol (www.volkshilfe.tirol). BETA is dedicated to helping young people aged 15 to 25 with learning difficulties or social barriers gain the skills and confidence they need to enter the job market. BETA supports around 10 young people through a one-year program that focuses on job training, soft skills and personal development. We offer support, guidance and labor market integration for youngs people with special educational needs during the transition from school to work. Therefore, we work with the young people every day from Monday through Friday. At BETA, we are a launchpad into the job market. Our participants are empowered to shape their own futurem supported and motivated every step of the way. As a volunteer, you’ll play a key role in shaping this journey. You’ll work independently (with guidance and support), mentor individuals, lead workshops, and help young people discover their strenghts
ACCOMODATION: A private, fully furnished studio apartment in the center of Wörgl - all you need to feel at home. In addition, the volunteer will receive a daily allowance of 7 EUR pocket money and 12 EUR food allowance. To support mobility throughout the project, a Tyrol public transport ticket (Tirolticket) for trains and buses will be provided for the entire duration of the volunteering period.
LANGUAGE: A german course at the start to help you settle in. NETWORKING: Regular events and workshops to connect with other volunteers and share experiences.
The Participant profile: At BETA you won’t just follow a set plan - you’ll create it. Wheter you’re passionate about education, creativity or personal development, your ideas and energy are what make this project thrive. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Teach and mentor: Support young people with subjects like German, math, English, IT basics or life skills (e.g., self-organization, goal setting) Lead workshops: Organize activities based on your skills and interests - from art to sports to technology or communication skills. Empower individuals: Help young people build self-confidence, set goals, and navigate challenges (e.g., emotional resilience, job applications). Work independently: You’ll design your approach, choose your methos and take ownership of your contributions. We’re here to support you, but the initiative is yours! WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH: Small groups (2-4 young people) or one-on-one sessions. A dedicated team of professionals who are always available for advice. A community of volunteers and staff who share your passion for making a difference. You don’t need a specific degree or experience - just an open mind, a willingness to learn and a heart for working with young people. Wheter you’re a student, taking a gap year, or looking for a fresh start, this is your chance to grow and contribute.
