Spend up to 12 months volunteering at CAIA academy in Lebensgarten Steyerberg, one of Germany’s oldest eco-villages and intentional communities. Surrounded by forests and nature, you will become part of a diverse community where sustainability, cooperation, and personal growth are part of everyday life. As a volunteer, you will support the daily activities of our non-profit educational center. Tasks may include helping in the kitchen, preparing meals, supporting community events, maintaining shared spaces, and contributing to ecological and renovation projects. You will work alongside local and international community members while gaining practical skills and valuable intercultural experience. This project is ideal for open-minded people who enjoy nature, community life, and learning through hands-on experience. Beyond volunteering, you will have opportunities to develop personally, improve your language skills, and experience a unique way of living together.

Travel costs are covered according to ESC distance bands. We will support your arrival and pick you up from the nearest airport or train station. You will have your own private room in a volunteer house operated by Caia Academy, while the kitchen and bathroom are shared with other residents. The house is located in the middle of nature, surrounded by forests and green spaces, offering a peaceful environment for personal growth and community life. Volunteers also receive a monthly food allowance and pocket money according to ESC regulations.

During your ESC experience, you will participate in the official training courses organized by the German National Agency, including the On-Arrival Training and Mid-Term Evaluation. In addition, you will receive: Regular mentoring and reflection meetings Support with your learning goals and Youthpass process Opportunities to improve your German language skills Guidance from experienced community members and project coordinators
