The organization promotes cooperation and intercultural exchange through numerous international mobility activities, such as youth exchanges, seminars, volunteering, Strategic Partnerships, Erasmus for young entrepreneurs internships, and projects with other programmes such as Europe for citizens and Erasmus Sport. At local level, it promotes conferences, awareness campaigns, meetings with participants from all over the world, activities for local development and education, festivals and exhibitions of various kinds. Moreover, it hosts volunteers and interns through various programmes, most notably the Italian Civil Service since 2009. Moreover, the organization promotes the local culture and traditions, both through the many international activities hosted in their local environment, but mostly through the development of an annual event running since 22 editions called International Summer Week, where intercultural dialogue and cultural discovery are linked to sustainable tourism. The organization favours the development of professional skills of young people, keeping a certain regard towards disadvantaged groups, organizing courses and laboratories dedicated to topics such as European Project Management, Non Profit Management and Entrepreneurial skills, directed towards young people but also representatives of public and private bodies. Within its scopes, TDM also dedicates to empower the development of local volunteering, providing capacity building to youngsters to reunites in youth councils and associations, and to exhisting bodies to grow and develop their influence and efficiency through training and councelling. The target of the activities of the organization is very broad: as a main target we have youngsters between 17 and 30 years old, with particular attention to the inclusion of disadvantaged groups such as youngsters with disabilities, school drop-outs, youngsters with social issues and/or coming from disadvantaged areas and neighbourhoods. Through non formal education activities, we aim at providing them a personal and professional growth, which puts them in relation with their peers and various public and private actors at local and international level, empowering their roles as citizens and actors of change in their society. In this context, we involve also other important targets in our activities, such as families, teachers, sport organizations, public bodies and more. Regarding our cooperation, besides the numerous partnerships previously listed, we can mention that TDM is one of the founding members of the international network TDM 2000 International, currently counting 28 member organizations in 22 countries (an important link to European policies as well as a way to create concerted strategies effective all over Europe) and CASMI, the local network of organizations active in the field of youth mobility in Sardinia.
