Founded in 1866, it aims to guarantee access to education for everyone, regardless of their age, social and ethnic backgrounds. It further promotes a secular society, solidarity amongst citizens and active citizenship. The 102 federations of La Ligue de l'enseignement and their 30,000 member organisations carry out activities in the field of culture, education and lifelong learning, culture and media, social work, recreational-educational activities, environment and sustainable development, sports for all, international solidarity. Our federal projet is based on three approachs : - Promoting the values of the mouvement of la Ligue de l'enseignement : citizenship, solidarity and secularism. - Developping community projects and volunteering for all - Reinforcing educational projects : lifelong learning, complementarity with public schools. With our various projects, we work with various publics : - children : holiday camp, field trips, sport activities in shcools, workshops about discrimination, fake news... - young people: training for youth work diploma, volunteering with "Junior Association" and Service Civique - adults : trainings, volunteering. We also coordinate the cultural programme in two prisons. To keep on developping and promoting youth engagement but also our values of solidarité and citizenship including european citizenship, we decided to apply to the quality label for the European Solidarity Corps.
