About the local hosting organization

The non-governmental organization "Actio Catholica Patria" (A.C. Patria) is active in Kaunas since 1991 and offers social and cultural services for young people aged from 14 to 30 years. We consult and provide training to other organizations and individuals about volunteering and open youth work. Our main aim is to support young people in becoming responsible, self-confident, socially sensitive and active citizens. We strive to contribute to the development of the concept and the condition of volunteering in Lithuania; to provide social services to young people; to provide information, consultation and training to individuals and legal entities; and to help youngsters to integrate into the labor market. We work towards these aims in our four centers: The Volunteer Center, the Open Youth Center "Vartai", the Youth Empowerment Center "Kitaip" and the Methodical Center. The employees of A.C. Patria, are constantly improving/enriching activities to ensure the quality of services provided. We aim at being pro-active in the search of new forms of work using different methods in order to meet the social needs of youth of different age groups and correspond to the changes in our society.

Join the ESC volunteering project at Kindergarten "Eureka" in Lithuania and become part of an international team inspiring children through creativity, sustainability, and intercultural learning. At Eureka, we believe in raising curious, responsible, and globally minded children who care about people and the planet. As a volunteer, you will contribute in four main areas: Sustainability – support eco-friendly initiatives, workshops, and green activities. Educational support – assist teachers during daily learning activities and creative sessions. Health & wellbeing – encourage active lifestyles through sports, games, and outdoor activities. Cultural exchange – share your language and culture, and help organize intercultural events and celebrations. The Participant profile: As a volunteer at Kindergarten "Eureka", you will: *Support teachers during educational, creative, and outdoor activities. *Organize engaging recycling, sustainability, and eco-awareness workshops for children. *Take part in children's daily routines, games, and group activities. *Promote healthy and active lifestyles through sports, outdoor play, and movement activities. *Share your culture, language, and traditions through intercultural activities and celebrations. *Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for every child. *Develop and implement your own sustainability project together with children. *Participate in team meetings, trainings, and community events. *Bring fresh ideas, creativity, and enthusiasm to the kindergarten community.Deadline:
