About the local hosting organization

Omnis Factum is a youth association created on January 25th of 2010. This organization was born from the will of young people of Montijo, conscious of the need to work for the local community. These association members’ are youngsters that want to work with and for other youngsters, and want to represent the vision that today we should have more work focused on youth and solidarity work. The main objective of Omnis Factum, in general, goes through the formation, awareness and inclusion of young people, developing citizenship concept based in the civic and active participation in society, as well through the promotion of intercultural dialogue and socio-cultural activities. Our target group are youngsters who are motivated to make a difference in society. We have developed several projects: Action 1.1, Youth Exchange, “Your Green Europe” about environment protection and 4.3, Training course "When Social Meet Rights", about young people's involvement in social causes; KA1 project "From Zero to Hero" in November of 2019 that mixed Zumba activities to fight the addiction of drugs, and two projects of European Voluntary Service. In 2021, we started the project “B.A.M- Brigada Ambiental do Montijo”, that aims to preserve and raise environmental awareness, and in 2022 we started the Solidarity Project “Escola da Interculturalidade Global" which focuses on the integration of migrant communities in the city of Montijo.

Presentation of the programme

GreenHack is a creative space where young innovators and environmental change makers come together to explore technology, circular economy strategies, and real-world solutions. Throughout the project, we will analyze how our daily actions impact the environment and, based on this understanding, develop innovative solutions to reduce our ecological footprint. Over two weeks, participants will engage in home-based and group activities, testing and applying new sustainable ideas.

About the accomodation

Accommodation and travel costs are covered by the association. We will provide a value for food throughout the project.

About the leisure activities

Throughout the project, participants will engage in a diverse set of learning experiences designed to enhance their understanding of sustainability, environmental innovation, and practical problem-solving. The training will be delivered through a combination of theoretical insights, hands-on activities, and collaborative challenges, ensuring a dynamic and immersive learning environment.

Requirements

The Participant profile: This program is open to young individuals aged 16 to 30 who are motivated to explore and develop innovative environmental solutions. Participants should have an interest in sustainability, circular economy, and green technologies and be eager to engage in both individual and collaborative challenges that promote real-world impact. Desired Attributes and Skills: Curiosity and creativity in problem-solving and innovation. Interest in sustainable development, environmental science, technology, or entrepreneurship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, international setting. Willingness to explore, test, and implement new ideas that promote sustainability.
