We are a NGO with over 25 years of experience in promoting social services, equality and nondiscrimination. Everyday we`re trying to make a difference in society and in the lives of those with fewer opportunities. Our mission is to promote social assistance by improving the lives of those in dire need. Our target group is composed of people with disabilities, both mental and physical, minorities, elderly people, unemployed and people living in extreme poverty. In every kind of activity or project, we are guided by values such as solidarity, social responsability, dignity and the respect for nature.

Dear Potential Volunteer, Are you looking for a meaningful way to make a difference in Baia Mare, Romania? Look no further! Our dynamic team at ASSOC, nestled in the heart of this vibrant city, is on a mission to create positive change in our community through social assistance initiatives. At ASSOC, we believe in the power of art and community to uplift spirits and foster connections. That's why we host engaging artistic sessions with the local community, where volunteers like you can unleash their creativity while making a real impact on people's lives. Whether it's painting, music, or theater, our artistic workshops provide a space for self-expression and empowerment. But that's not all! As a member of our volunteering team, you'll have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, including our renowned Social Workshops and Social Events. From organizing educational seminars to hosting cultural exchanges, there's never a dull moment at ASSOC.

Pocket money 4 euros per day. Food money 10 euros per day. In the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programme, travel costs for volunteers are reimbursed based on the distance between the volunteer's place of residence and the project location. The reimbursement follows the distance bands set by the European Commission and is calculated using the official ESC distance calculator. Volunteers initially pay for their travel expenses and are reimbursed by the supporting or hosting organization upon presentation of valid travel documents (e.g. tickets, boarding passes, receipts). Shared accommodation

On-Arrival Training This training usually takes place within the first few weeks after the volunteer’s arrival in the host country. It is designed to help volunteers adapt to their new environment, understand the ESC programme and their rights and responsibilities, and get to know other volunteers. The training also includes cultural orientation, practical information, and support in setting personal learning goals (such as through the Youthpass process). Mid-Term Training This training takes place approximately halfway through the volunteering project, usually for projects lasting longer.

The Participant profile: We are looking for a motivated and open-minded young person (18–30 years old) from Europe, interested in volunteering and eager to be involved in community activities. No specific experience or qualifications are required, but a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and respect for different cultures are essential. The ideal candidate is flexible, proactive, enjoys working with people (including children, youth, or seniors), and is ready to contribute to a multicultural environment. Basic English skills are helpful for communication, but not mandatory. Most importantly, we value enthusiasm and a genuine desire to make a difference!Deadline: 29/09/2026 23:00
