Looking for a volunteering experience where you can make a real impact? Join our team in Sofia, Bulgaria, for a 10-month European Solidarity Corps adventure! We're looking for one motivated volunteer to help promote human rights, gender equality, inclusion, and active citizenship while standing up against discrimination and hate speech. You'll design and deliver interactive workshops, campaigns, youth events, and educational activities that empower young people to think critically, challenge stereotypes, and build more inclusive communities. You'll reach more than 2,000 young people across Bulgaria, work in an international team, and gain valuable skills in public speaking, facilitation, project management, teamwork, and intercultural communication. If you're open-minded, creative, and ready to create positive change, we'd love to hear from you!
You will be accommodated in a shared apartment in Sofia, close to our office, the city center, and a park. You may share a room with a volunteer of the same gender. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need for daily life, including cooking and household facilities. Our current volunteers will help you discover the area and settle in. You will receive a food allowance, a monthly pocket money allowance, and a public transport card. After selection, we will arrange your travel tickets and health insurance.
During the volunteering period, you will receive task-specific training on Human Rights and Non-formal Education provided by IOA trainers. You will also participate in Bulgarian language lessons to help you communicate, connect with the local community, and make the most of your experience in Bulgaria.
