House Blivande is a creative community and cultural center located in Stockholm, Sweden. It serves as a hub for artists, entrepreneurs, civic actors, and innovators, fostering collaboration and professional and personal growth amongst community members. Blivande runs co-working spaces, studios, event spaces and a public container village where individuals can work, create, and connect. The community is highly participatory, encouraging members, locals and associated cultural actors to actively engage in shaping the space according to their dreams. We are a hybrid community that exists online and offline, where we use contemporary platforms to organize asynchronously. Through workshops, dialogue, and artistic endeavors, Blivande promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, experimentation, and the exploration of new ideas. We have received several grants from the Swedish innovation agency, specifically to build our digital infrastructure through collaborative money management tools and to develop the container village Frihmanstorget, the first of its kind in Sweden. Our main aim is to create a “plus-sum-center”, where creatives, initiatives, businesses and organisations develop in synergy. We are focused on hyperlocal action and democratic citizen involvement in Stockholm, but connect to a global context through several international networks (TEH, ECHN, MiSo). Our space is an independent contributor to the culture, policy innovation and urban development of our city.

This volunteer role is about supporting the atelier spaces, in-house community, citizen driven activities and larger cultural productions.

You’ll support Studio Tau, our artistic workspace. You'll act as a daily supporting host to our team, helping keep the space organized, assisting artists, and tackling general maintenance and upgrades. You’ll also help coordinate community workshops, meet-ups focused on arts and artist-led initiatives, and support gallery activities during summer.

You'll support non-profit and grassroots groups who receive space sponsorship for their events, helping them feel welcome and supported. You'll help organise public cultural events and will support major community-led events like Valborg by helping with different tasks and keeping track of to-dos.

The Participant profile: We’re looking for someone who is organized, practical, and community-minded. It is important that you appreciate hands-on work and don’t mind physically helping out, as it will be a large part of your daily work.Deadline: 31/08/2026 20:00
