 We are looking for motivated young people who would like to join a long-term volunteering project in Panevėžys, Lithuania,   Depending on your interests, experience and motivation, you can choose one of the following volunteering opportunities: Open Youth Centre Work with young people, help organise activities, workshops, games, events and creative initiatives, spend time with young people and contribute your own ideas. Elderly Care Home Spend time with elderly people, support their daily social activities, organise creative and recreational activities, accompany residents and help create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Kindergarten Support children and staff in everyday activities, take part in games, creative workshops, outdoor activities and celebrations, and share your culture and ideas with children. You do not need to be an expert. We are looking for people who are open-minded, responsible, motivated to learn and willing to become part of the local community. 

 During your volunteering experience, you will live together with other international volunteers. You will have your own private room, while the kitchen and shower/bathroom facilities will be shared with other volunteers. Living together is an important part of the experience – you will have the opportunity to meet people from different countries, cook together, share everyday life, discover Lithuania and create new friendships. Panevėžys is a comfortable medium-sized Lithuanian city where it is easy to move around, meet local people and experience everyday Lithuanian life.

 During the volunteering project, you will have many opportunities to learn, develop new skills and grow both personally and professionally. Volunteers will receive: * On-arrival training to help you understand the project, your role, the local community and life in Lithuania. * Mid-term training during the project to reflect on your experience, share challenges and achievements, and plan the rest of your volunteering period. * Introduction and practical training at your volunteering organisation  * Regular support and mentoring throughout the whole volunteering period.  

The Participant profile: We are looking for motivated, open-minded and responsible young people who are interested in volunteering, learning and becoming part of the local community in Panevėžys. The ideal participant: * is interested in working with young people, children or elderly people; * is motivated to learn and gain new practical experience; * is open to living in an international environment and sharing accommodation with other volunteers; * is respectful, patient, friendly and able to communicate with people from different backgrounds; * is willing to participate actively in the daily activities of the hosting organisation; * is ready to share their own ideas, culture, skills and creativity; * is flexible and able to adapt to a new country, culture and working environment; * is willing to learn basic Lithuanian and communicate in English; * is ready to volunteer for a period of 9 to 12 months. Previous professional experience is not required. More important for us are motivation, openness, responsibility and willingness to learn. We especially welcome participants who want to grow personally, gain confidence, improve communication and teamwork skills, and contribute meaningfully to the local community.
