About the local hosting organization

Association "International Scout Center Rustavi" (ISCR) is an independent non-political, nongovernmental, non-profit public movement of young people. ISCR represents a voluntary educational movement for children and young people open to all without distinction of origin, race, sex, and religion. ISCR is assisting children and young people in receiving formal and non-formal education. Activities are based on full self-governance and voluntary participation of its members. Taking into account the current situation in the country and in the region, the main goal of ISCR is to develop youth work and scouting, which will contribute to the development of the young generation in achieving their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual potentials both as individuals and responsible citizens, and as members of their local, national, and international communities. Except educational aspects ISCR is running Scout house – Youth hostel. The Scout house hosts international groups of people that attend a specific event or seminar as well as independent groups that want to benefit from the location and the non formal education programmes offered by the centre team.https://linktr.ee/iscr.ge

Presentation of the programme

Hosting organisation offers volunteering opportunities in youth work and the daily operation of a scout centre. Volunteers will support non-formal educational activities for children and young people, assist in organising local and international events, and contribute to the promotion of volunteering and intercultural learning. In addition to their main role, all volunteers will participate in rotational tasks such as reception support, gardening, and general maintenance of the centre. The project follows a learning-by-doing approach, encouraging initiative, creativity, teamwork, and personal development. Most activities take place in Rustavi; however, some programmes, events, and projects may be organised in different locations. Volunteers should therefore be flexible and willing to occasionally travel. 

About the accomodation

We are primarily looking for volunteers for 10 months, starting in October. However, It is also possible to start in January.

Requirements

The Participant profile: Accommodation, food allowance, pocket money, and health insurance are provided in accordance with the European Solidarity Corps programme regulations.Volunteers will be accommodated in shared apartments located in the city centre of Rustavi. Each volunteer will have an individual bedroom while sharing common spaces such as the kitchen and bathroom with other volunteers. The apartments provide all essential furniture and household appliances necessary for comfortable daily living. Apartment is located 25 minitues walkable distance away from the scout center so no transportation is needed.Deadline: 10/09/2026 23:00
