About the leisure activities

The project title is inspired by a tillandsia, a unique air plant that doesn’t need soil to live, but instead draws nutrients and moisture from the air. Its resilience and capacity to thrive in challenging conditions symbolize the essence of this project and remind us that we can find creative ways to transform challenges into opportunities. The Tillandsia project is a 3-year initiative that aims to empower young people to become active agents of environmental and social transformation and tackle challenges like environmental degradation, youth isolation, and lack of access to sustainability education.

Requirements

The Participant profile: Join our first Tillandsia volunteering team in Greece and live for a month at Hopeland, an educational eco-community in southern Greece. Be part of a group of 14 volunteers from across Europe and experience Hopeland, guided and supported by the crew. Roll up your sleeves, unleash your creativity, and dive into hands-on work to enhance the space, improve sustainability practices, and contribute to the growth of the project. Experience living and working together in a communal setting, embracing the challenges and opportunities that come with it.
