Sorgun Youth Organization was established to carry out activities on soscial, education, health and sports fields, to contribute to improving youth poicies, to enable solidarity and help among young people, to encourage their spirit of entrepreneurship, to help them gain knowledge and skills on such topics, to contribute to the disadvantaged young people like those who are disabled to be integrated into society. Our organization which discovers the fact that the young people are the most important individuals and which aims to bring together the young people with different skills and create a great synergy and aims to enable young people to be involved in the society and enable the society to benefit from the young people more was established with the name “Sorgun Youth Organization” in the district Sorgun in 2014 Before our organization became a legal institute, it started with an informal group which was initiated with a few young people and managed to Access many young people in a very short time. Our organization which in time becomes a great asset by bringing together volunteers working for a divine purpose and involving many young people from different age groups, expands its impact and tries to increase the number of projects in which it is involved as partners actively.

Volunteers will support SORGED’s activities in youth work, culture, environment, and community engagement. They will help organize workshops, intercultural learning activities, language clubs, sports events, and awareness campaigns for young people and local communities. Volunteers will contribute to social media, content creation, photography, videography, and the promotion of Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps opportunities. They will also participate in environmental, healthy lifestyle, and disaster awareness activities carried out with local institutions and civil society organizations. Volunteers will work in an international team, interact with local people, share ideas, and support community-based projects. Through these activities, they will develop communication, teamwork, digital, organizational, and intercultural skills while gaining valuable personal and professional experience.  INFOPACK: bit.ly/4mHc2MZ

Volunteers will stay in a shared apartment in Sorgun with double rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Accommodation is provided by SORGED, and volunteers will live with other ESC participants. Basic kitchen equipment and internet will be available. In line with ESC rules, volunteers will receive €6 per day for pocket money and €6 for food. Travel costs will be covered according to the ESC distance calculator and must be approved before purchasing tickets.

During the activity, volunteers will receive orientation and ongoing learning support. The orientation programme will introduce the hosting organisation, project objectives, local culture, safety procedures, and volunteer responsibilities. Throughout the project, volunteers will participate in non-formal education workshops on youth work, intercultural learning, communication, teamwork, environmental awareness, healthy lifestyles, and disaster preparedness.They will also benefit from language support, mentoring, and regular reflection sessions to support their personal and professional develop
