The project site is situated within a major tourist hub. The Youth Hostel in Bouillon overlooks the city, offering a stunning view of the Semois and the fortress, one of Europe’s most impressive castles. Magnificent view of the castle and the city, on a wooded site of 18,000m². The Auberge welcomes people from all walks of life in a young and relaxed atmosphere. Bouillon is a town in the south of Belgium, close to the French border. It is famous for the medieval castle of Bouillon overlooking the Semois. The Godefroid de Bouillon Archaeoscope is a famous multi-media attraction on the banks of the river, illustrating the life and times of Godefroid de Bouillon, a former resident of the castle and a crusader. Nearby is the Ducal Museum, which traces the history of the region through art, weapons and folk artefacts. Please note: Having a vehicle is recommended as the hostel is somewhat secluded, and there is no accessible public transportation available from there.

The volunteer should speak at least fluent English if no French. Spanish and Dutch are assets.
