About the project locationThe community is located in Mathare, Nairobi. The project is in a secure and safe area of Mathare. It is near the road and not deep into the slum. It is cold in the early mornings but the weather gets warmer as the day goes by. It is a crowded, low income community and most people engage in small businesses to make a living. The businesses include selling vegetables, home equipment like crockery and cutlery by the roadside. The people are friendly.
