About the volunteer workNature-based Tourism is a key focus of the park all year, it includes: camping, hikes, and overnight camps in designated mountain regions with camp facilitators. We have outreach programs for youth and the wider public and Biodiversity Conservation is a focus throughout the year. Main Activities Biodiversity Conservation Constituency building Nature-based Tourism Volunteer tasks Environmental Education Guided Interpretive Walks Footpath Maintenance Hospitality Administration Research Removal of alien vegetation.
Local accommodationVolunteer will have their own room but will share facilities such as kitchen, living area and ablution facilities with other volunteers and/or students. The accommodation is free and is situated within Park and in close proximity to other staff/student housing. The accommodation makes use of solar energy for lighting and gas for heating/cooking.
About the project locationAn open access, urban national park set within the metropolitan area of Cape Town which has a population of about 4 million people.
Extra info about the projectOn-going intake : flexible with intake preferences. Participation : 4 semaines à 16 semaines. Frais supplémentaires : 450 € pour 4 semaines, 75 € pour chaque semaine additionnelle. Le projet est ouvert toute l'année, la date d'arrivée est libre.
