About the local hosting organization

The municipality of Borås has a long tradition of hosting EVS-volunteers and we put a lot of effort trying to create a good support. About the volunteer work

We are looking for 4 new EVS-volunteers for two new 12 months projects (two in each project) starting the 1st of February 2018. The projects will be located in youth clubs/community centres in Borås, Sweden. Your main tasks will be to develop and implement activities together with young people, be part of citizen service, help with homework, take part in trips as well as trying to find new collaborations with other community centres in the city. A big part of the mission will be find creative ways to spread information about Erasmus+ around the city as well as by using social media.


You will be invited to two mandatory trainings with the NA in Stockholm: on-arrival training and mid-term evaluation. In addition to this you will also get training in youth work, anti-violence methods and the Conventions on the Rights of the Child alongside the staff group.

Local accommodation

You will be leaving alongside other EVS-volunteers in a student dorm in a quiet part of the city, close to a bus stop and green areas. You will have your own room with shared kitchen, toilet and living space. You will be offered a total of 3400 SEK per month, including in this is the cost of food, transport and pocket Money. You will have to cook your own food, at work people typically bring their own lunch box.

Gender equality, inclusion and the Convention on the Rights of the Child are at the core of our working methods, therefore we would gladly work with a volunteer who finds interest in these areas.
