About the local hosting organization
WWS (Waterways Watch Society) was formed in 1998 with a firm advocate of public education on water and environment awareness. Looking to build up individual responsibility and shared ownership of our water resources, they have established various programmes that engage corporations, schools, community groups and even government agencies. WWS was awarded the inaugural Presidential Environment Award in 2006 and the honorary WaterMark Award in July 2007.
