About the volunteer workConcept: A Workcamp is an international project for international people. A different way to spend the holiday performing together with local people, volunteer work for social interest. This activity is directed towards to young people, between 18 and 35, who will live together for a period of 13, days with young people from different nationalities, in Alcobendas city. Work: The workcamp is made to organize Waslala's Festival, preparing all the necessaries things for it, as the bar, Waslala Stand, organization, some workshops and staff in order to create a good activity all together, the volunteers will do all the Festival organization with Waslala's members. If the volunteers want they can learn to play drums and show it in the final performance of the festival. Volunteers will be have an space in our festival to be able to show their creations (dance, music, or whatever they want) in the Festival.
Local accommodationRoom & Board: The 12 participants, and 1 member of Waslala will sleep in a residence near Waslala Space. Meals will be outside, near or in Waslala Space. Participants will make their cleaning team. It's necessary bringing sleeping bag, towel and swim-suit, because the weather will be very good in Spain and we will go to visit some natural place.
About the project locationWaslala Space, in Alcobendas city. Leisure time: We would like to give great importance to free time and interaction with local people and culture. There will be 6 hours for work each day from Monday to Friday, and after, we have chance to visit the near environment, and visit the nature in order to know Madrid with 'different eyes'.
Extra info about the projectEach participant will pay an extra free of € 120 for the accommodation, meals and excursions.
