Presentation of the programmeVolunteers will involve their social, communicative competences. Our daily task is to be involved in After School Care group, which means to help the School kids (6-10), to do their homework, + make their afternoons special with creative games. We give space to volunteers to bring their own ideas. Our group consists of ESC volunteers and an YMCA exchange program participant from Peru. We are also making overnight-programs for the kids which gives the volunteers confidence and responsibilities. We run also projects with the local schools. We make trainings in schools which are aimed to improve the leadership competences of the children through reflexion, team building games etc. Biggest + most entertaining projects are the season camps in which we bring our ideas all together and plan many camps organised in and out of Germany. For supporting all these amazing programs we need enthusiastic, creative, flexible + cooperative people! WRITE A PERSONAL EMAIL TO US! [email protected]
Local accommodationThe YMCA has a shared flat for the volunteers. The house is located near the station and 15 minutes by bike to YMCA. RequirementsThe Participant profile: We are searching for volunteers, willing to learn German, who are ready to be flexible, creative, social and responsible. Our job is with children and young people so we need active volunteers who are really into youth work and organising events, camps, and if you have own ideas – your own projects. You must be open minded for Christian values, (perfect would be a YMCA background), and it would be excellent if you have experiences in youth work. You have to be open to work with international people and must not be afraid of responsibilities.
