About the volunteer workIn this camp, volunteers will have a chance to visit unique places in Vietnam and interact with students and youths from different social backgrounds through activities such as: workshops, debate, team building, social activities, cultural exchange programs, and interactive games. Life in Ha Tinh is tough for locals as it is prone to harsh natural conditions with frequent typhoons, floods and extreme heat in summer. In 2016, a massive and unprecedented environmental disaster occurred to its ocean, making life even more difficult for those who rely on fishing for their livelihood. Participation in this camp enables volunteers to gain an insight into similar social issues in a developing country like Vietnam. Volunteer tasks : Planning and delivering English lessons to local youth through games, discussion, workshop, and debate activities. Organizing culture exchange between international and domestic volunteers, such as performing traditional dances and cooking traditional foodÂ… Participating in creative activities: Moviemakers, Amazing Race, Drawing, Talent Show, etc. Doing social activities: Beach Cleaning Experiencing farming in typical and organic farm in Ha Tinh Province
Local accommodationVolunteers will stay with local family with basic living conditions. Food and transportation will be prepared by the local project. Volunteers should bring light traveling mattress or sleeping bag. Meeting point will be at Volunteers for Peace Vietnam (VPV) office in Hanoi. The campleaders will pick-up and take volunteers to the project site.
About the project locationThe camp is set to be located in Ha Tinh - one of the poorest and underdeveloped provinces in Vietnam.
Extra info about the projectParticipation : 4 semaines à 16 semaines. Frais supplémentaires : 400 € pour 4 semaines, 75 € pour chaque semaine additionnelle. Le projet est ouvert toute l'année, arrivée le lundi ou le mardi.
