About the volunteer workTACT 3.0: Teenagers – Active Citizens of Tomorrow is IJGD project which is running for the third time, since 2015. It is designed as an educational programme. Workcamp Youth Exchange in Hersbruck, which is part of this project, was designed for the teenagers age 16-18 years, coming from Germany, Spain, Turkey, Italy and Armenia. Participants will have their days divided into two. In the mornings, they will be working on renovation of the surroundings where the youth centre is located and preparation for the big, inclusive race, which will be hosted by the centre on July 23rd. Apart from this, participants will be involved in supporting the centre in constructing the new hut village on the centre grounds. In the afternoons, they will take active part in workshops linked to inclusion, interculturality and active participation. There are planned several excursions, including one to Nuremberg.
Local accommodationParticipants will be staying in the youth centre Edelweisshuette in the tents. On the grounds of the youth centre, there is a forest climbing adventure park. For more details about accommodation, please check the webpage of the youth centre here: Participants will be in charge of preparing the food for each other for breakfast and dinner, while for the lunch, there will be provided professional cook, who will be preparing the meals.
About the project locationHersbruck is located 30km from Nuremberg, which has rich cultural and historical offer for excursions.
