About the local hosting organization“L'Oasis” is a young environmental association whose aim is to develop an eco-citizen educational center of trainings, learnings and searching in applied ecology. The will of the center is to show that ecological alternatives do exist in every area of our daily lives and to promote knowledge and skills for having a simple and healthy way of life, neither harmful for us nor for the environment.The main topics addressed are nutrition, permaculture, food, organic gardening, culture of organic local and ancient fruit-trees, urban agriculture, recycling of old objects, ecological renovation of the building, water management, energy, ...To achieve this, they organize different types of trainings and workshops...
About the volunteer workOne of the themes addressed by the project will be eco-renovation. Participants will be involved in the ecological renovation of the building, focusing on recycling as much as possible, to show that renovating a building, in an environmentally friendly manner, without spending huge amounts of money in technology, is possible. Volunteers will do different activities: exterior tiles and oven tiles (country ceramic, natural ecological material), clay plaster (cellar), various interventions in the garden, external facilities in front of the greenhouse, landscaping of the garden in front of the pergola, various small renovation and layout works, rocket stove mass heater, depending on the time available.
Local accommodationBasic accommodation in a collective room of the center (take your own mattress, pillow and sleeping bag).
