информация о местного партнераWings of hope rescue home is a home for homeless and unsupported pregnant teenage girls, victims of rape and child sexual abuse. The girls are aged between 12-17 years old. The home takes the girls in and gives them a place they can call home. The home is owned by a loving man who acts as a parent to the rescued girls with support from 9 other staff including a nurse, matron, and caregivers. He is a former baker who was inspired to start such a project being a pillar of strength to needy girls as he loved to visit children's homes. He provides for their basic needs including food, shelter, clothing, and educational needs. The objective of the project is to give young girls a normal life, it helps to reduce abortion cases and child abandonment. Until April 2024, 52 girls had been supported, and 25 babies were taken care of. After the girls are brought in, the project staff walks with them through the journey of pregnancy, and at nine months the girls are taken to hospital for delivery. After delivery, they are brought to the project at Wings of Hope, where they are trained on the basics of motherhood like how best to breastfeed, how best to clean their babies, how to identify when the baby is sick, and report to the project staff for assistance. After six months of breastfeeding, the project enrolls teenage mothers to school and helps them pick up the academic broken pieces and move on academically with the main purpose of preparing them for their future. The project has girls who went back to study and have attained university qualifications. Other girls are in Tertiary colleges, high schools, and primary schools. The grown-up babies are also enrolled in junior school. We have 11 of their babies now in school too. The project collaborates with government structures to help deliver justice for the girls before releasing them back into the community. The project faces challenges of limited facilities like beds, mattresses, food, water, mosquito nets and finances.

информация о работе волонтера• Supporting in mentorship and career development for the girls • Teaching girls and children about personal growth and knowing their rights • Helping in the improvement of facilities and broken furniture • Helping in fundraising for the assistance of the girls through education • Helping girls in taking care of babies and young children • Helping in cleaning, cooking, and serving of meals • Helping children in skill development e.g. doing music, dancing hairdressing, etc

информация о месте проекта

Cambodia, located in Southeast Asia, boasts a rich and intricate history dating back thousands of years. Once the center of the Khmer Empire, the country was renowned for its grand architecture, including the temples of Angkor. Throughout its history, Cambodia has experienced periods of prosperity and conflict, including the dark era of the Khmer Rouge regime in the 1970s. Geographically, the country is characterized by vast plains, mountains in the north, and picturesque coastlines in the south.

The nonprofit sector in Cambodia plays a crucial role in the country's social and economic development. Numerous non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and associations work in areas such as education, healthcare, human rights, environment, and community development. These organizations aim to improve the living conditions of vulnerable populations and promote social justice. Despite persistent challenges, the nonprofit sector continues to grow and make significant contributions to the progress and well-being of Cambodian communities.

информация о местного партнера"Vir'Volt" stands for Village InteRnational de VolonTaires (international village for volunteers). For the past four years, the association has been based in the middle of a natural regional park near Paris. Welcoming young people from all over the world, getting to know each other and learning from our differences, reflecting, and acting together to protect the environment, having a positive impact on the places and people living around the site or simply passing through... This is the project of this future village, which is built every year thanks to the young people who come to contribute, putting solidarity at the heart of their actions. With accommodation in yurts, teepees and caravans, a permaculture garden, water-saving methods, waste limitation and recovery, this small village that will grow into a large one respects its natural surroundings and is experimenting eco-responsible practices. Taking part in this project means immersing yourself in a natural and ecological living environment, contributing to the development of a unique and original place, playing an active part in the construction of new places of solidarity and ecological initiatives, and making a commitment to a society that is more respectful of people and nature.

информация о работе волонтераDuring this workcamp, you'll be helping to renovate the wall of the cemetery in Boissy le Cutté, a small town 10 minutes from the association's premises. In small villages, the cemetery is an important place for people, a place of memory, a witness to the passing of time and the generations that have populated the surrounding villages. The perimeter wall of the Boissy le Cutté cemetery, which is several centuries old, is beginning to crumble. To help preserve France's heritage, the history of its people and its collective memory, you will be working with us to renovate part of the cemetery's perimeter wall (cleaning and removing joints and damaged areas, rebuilding and applying mortar). Each morning, you will be taken by vehicle to the town of Boissy le Cutté. The group will be divided into two rotating teams for the kitchen and the workcamp. Meals will be prepared on site in a kitchen provided by the town and will be eaten there. Around 4pm, the group will be back at the association's site, our ecological and solidarity village. At the end of each afternoon and in the evening, activities will be organised around the discovery of nature, cooperation and interculturality. You will also have the opportunity to propose your own activities to the rest of the group. The projects offered by Vir'Volt are open to all, and our venue is a safe place for all sexual, cultural and religious identities and orientations. Time will be set aside for discussion and reflection on the fight against discrimination and the mechanics of cooperation between individuals.

жилище на местеAccommodation in non-mixed collective yurts in the village. The yurts are light, insulated and heated ecological dwellings. Please bring a sleeping bag. The accommodation has non-mixed toilets and showers, as well as a kitchen area. Food is provided and meals are prepared by the participants in turn. Please note Vir'Volt is a collective construction project that is only in its fourth year of development. The sanitary block with showers and toilets offers basic facilities.

информация о месте проектаLa Ferté Alais is 50km south of Paris in the Essonne region. Leisure activities: You can enjoy activities on the association's site, as well as discovering the cultural and natural heritage of the Parc du Gatinais. You will help to organise activities with young people from the town. Leisure activities will be organised collectively according to the possibilities and budget available. A day of cultural discovery in Paris is planned.

информация о работе волонтераThe heart of the Sólheimar ideology is to give all individuals a fair chance and to maximize their potential. By focusing on individuals' possibility instead of their limitations, Sólheimar aims to create the space for each resident to take every opportunity that arises for each person to grow and develop. The methodology and the educational approach mixes non formal methods, art, creativity, and outdoor practices. PROJECT: The association works to build an idea of an inclusive educational community where everyone has the opportunity to find the space to express himself, outside of any judgment, social or political. On a daily basis it deals with youth aggregation, active citizenship, reception and receptivity, and local development for the purpose of sustainable tourism. This project takes place at Rifugio il Trio, a new space that the association is aiming to redevelop starting from the renovation of the spaces. This camp will be one of the first held in this facility and the restoration work will focus on restoring the dormitory areas. The management of a refuge is an act of care for this rural area, offering an active presence in the mountain area and facilitating access to the hinterland for everyone. The ordinary management of the refuge requires constant maintenance and renovation, which is why the camp focuses on this space, on the one hand offering volunteers the experience of living in a mountain refuge in its wildness and using this space as a place of experimentation were expressing one's creativity and rediscovering the value of manual skills and traditional knowledge.

In particular, the main body of work will be aimed at restoring the dormitories. Volunteers will work around 5/6 hours a day. As always, there will be space to give vent to creativity and much more. Group life, shared management of cooking, cleaning and convivial moments including games, excursions and other experiences. This field requires a high sense of adaptation, the ability to disconnect from digital devices and the internet connection, the desire to disconnect from everyday life to connect with a life more in relationship with the people around you and nature. By joining this workcamp you will contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals: Reduce inequality -SDG10 and SustainableCommunities-SDG11

жилище на местеThe group is accommodated in a tent, in the camping area around the refuge. The shelter and the spaces inside are used by the staff for cooking and rain emergencies.Scarcity of resources, spartan accommodation, with shared bathrooms and outdoor showers. Cleaning and cooking will be managed by the volunteers themselves through cleaning/cooking shifts. The group will have access to a pantry based on which to build a weekly menu respecting allergies/intolerances and particular diets.

информация о месте проектаRifugio il Trio is located near Poggio Catino, a small village in the Province of Rieti in the Italian region Latium. It is located about 50 kilometers northeast of Rome and about 20 kilometers southwest of Rieti. During their free time, volunteers could make some excursions, workshops and sports. TERMINAL: Rome Fiumicino airport (FCO) and then direct train to Poggio Mirteto or Rome Ciampino airport (CIA) and then bus connection to Rome Tuscolana and then train to Poggio Mirteto.
