A propos du travail de volontaire

The role of the university is to prepare students for their professional future life and career. In today’s globalized world and modern societies, English speaking is extremely important in a developing country as Vietnam. The issue is that, even though Vietnamese students spend 6-7 years learning English, they still cannot speak and communicate in English. Because of the traditional teaching methods, they can only write grammatical sentences, while their oral skills are very bad. With this project, SJ Vietnam helps university and college students to improve their speaking/oral skills by interacting with foreign volunteers, and helps them to open their mind by learn from different cultures. Our international volunteers have a real impact, and encourage Vietnamese students to pursue their dreams and to participate in the development of Vietnam (through tourism and business, and the development of a qualified Vietnamese workforce).

Volunteers will help the students improve their English skills as a mentor, work together with the local staffs and cooperate with humanitarian aid service and non-profit organizations to organize social activities for students (such as charity/voluntary work in the community, fundraise for those activities, etc.).
