A propos de l'organisation localeJeunesse et Reconstruction (JR) is a French association created in 1948. Originally, JR organized projects to gather young European volunteers in order to rebuild the ties between formerly enemy peoples. Today, the main objective is to foster intercultural exchanges through volunteering in a spirit of tolerance, respect and fraternity. JR participates in the development of international youth exchanges through its activities. It is about giving young people from different cultures the opportunity to meet in an unfamiliar environment in contact with the local population. They can discover their differences and commonalities, learn to live and work together to a general interest project. JR offers various volunteering programs (short, mid and long term) through its network of partners.

Présentation du programmeYou will work with an available and present tutor, who will guide you through your missions. You will have the time to discover our organization, its functioning and its activities in order to get a better socio-linguistic integration. During the 1st part of the mission, you will conduct a practices analysis: observing our way to work, our constraints and will be able to interrogate our employees and active members. You will make research about the topic of environmental protection, including political measures about ecological transition. You will help us write a guide for good practices within our organization, to give simple tools to reduce our ecological print. In the 2nd part of your mission, you will work on the dissemination of your results and solutions: you will intervene during our information session, during our camp leaders training but also, on different workcamp sites: you will be directly in contact with the volunteer groups and local communities who welcome them.

A propos de l'organisation localeOur NGO promotes citizenship, intercultural dialogue & international mobility for young adults from 16 to 30, regardless of their qualifications & experience.
PRESENTATION OF PARCOURS LE MONDE
Parcours Le Monde Grand Ouest is a non-profit organization which aims to promote international and European mobility and intercultural dialogue and citizenship via formal and informal education methods. This is especially for young adults with fewer opportunities. Our purpose is to help them to create social connections, develop their independence as well as social and professional integration.
In our association, we sensitize, train and accompany young adults before, during and after their mobilities. So, we are looking for partners who are interested in receiving these young people on different programs like “Youth Exchange” and/or “Short-term European volunteering” etc…
Through our “Osez l’international” project, we aim to facilitate European mobility for young adults, regardless of their qualifications. We consider it to be a “structuring” part of their personal development, as well as their social and professional integration.
OUR PUBLIC
The vast majority of the young people accompanied by our organization comes from local community projects and neighborhood associations. Most of them have Level IV qualification or less and face several difficulties in integration (such as educative, social, economic, geographical issues). Many of the young people accompanied by the project live in underprivileged areas.
OUR MOTIVATION
For the young adults of this scheme, mobility abroad can have a leverage effect. It is also a mobilizing and enhancive tool during the personal development, and for social and professional integration. A departure to abroad country alone, without mentoring and for a long period of time, is not possible for everyone. In fact, some young adults are quite reluctant to launch their own projects of mobility without being accompanied. Therefore, they seek a secure and organized structure for their first-time abroad.
International mobility through volunteering is an ideal instrument for this young public. It offers a safe departure and links with an organization which is able to assist and provide them with tutorship. Being engaged in a project which merges citizenship, active involvement, non-formal education and social activities gives to these young adults, who are often in a dynamic of failure, the opportunity to succeed. Discovering new people and a new culture and experiencing another way of life will provide them with a sense of independency, a new open-minded vision, a better understanding of others… This kind of experience is particularly positive for these young people.

Présentation du programme

“VEIA” aims at hosting international volunteers for long-term mobilities (9 months).

The association "Parcours Le Monde - Grand Ouest" (PLMGO) aims to promote and develop, through formal and non-formal education, European and international mobility, intercultural dialogue and citizenship. PLMGO’s actions particularly target young people (16-25) who are far from mobility, with fewer opportunities, the objectives being their empowerment, as well as their social and professional integration.
The VEIA mission is part of the “hosting organization” projects of PLMGO. The aim is to promote international mobility, education in citizenship and international solidarity, and interculturality directly to young people in the Pays de la Loire region.
The volunteers carry out activities targeting young people of the Pays de la Loire region, in order to encourage civic and solidarity-based commitment, openness to others and to the world around us, and intercultural dialogue, to fight against all forms of discrimination, and to deconstruct prejudices and stereotypes through the organization of workshops, events and other activities in line with the tools of popular education, education for citizenship and international solidarity, and the objectives of sustainable development. All this in the respect of each one and of the differences and of the living together.
The mission consists in the realization of a civic service within the association Parcours le Monde or in intermediation in one of the partner structures (school establishments of the National Education, the territorial communities, the Local Missions, the associations stemming from the City Policy districts, the associations of youth and Popular Education...) on the themes of the international, the interculturality, the Education to the Citizenship and to the International Solidarity (ECSI) and of the commitment and in link with its personal and professional project.
Through this mission, we wish to promote and develop the commitments and citizen actions "here and elsewhere" of the volunteers and the host structures towards the young people of the Loire Valley by encouraging awareness, understanding and the implementation of actions related to international citizenship, the interdependence between different countries, the desire to discover other cultures, to be interested in different ways of life, and to encourage open-mindedness, openness to the world and mutual aid between different cultures.
We will host 25 volunteers between October 2022 and June 2024, we are looking for sending organizations to be our partners

Présentation du programme

“Keep Going Keep Growing” aims at sending young people abroad on long-term volunteering missions (7 months).

“Keep Going Keep Growing” is aimed at young French people from 18 to 25 years old who have already experienced a short-term European mobility and wish to continue the accompaniment process. Long-term volunteering allows young French people to develop their life paths in order to facilitate their social and professional integration. Living a significant experience in Europe allows them to reinforce their technical, social, intercultural and organizational skills... and also to discover or improve certain themes.
We will send 2 volunteers per session, with four sessions planned between October 2022 and July 2024. The volunteering activities must involve either:
- Climate action & Environment
- Youth & Children
- Intercultural dialogue and the fight against discriminations
- New Technologies & Digital skills
- Sport
- Cultural activities
As the target group may be composed of NEETs, they require a strengthened tutoring, both by the sending and the hosting organization. We are looking for partners able and willing to host young people, sharing our values regarding social inclusion.

A propos de l'organisation localeIn 2008, Saint Alban du Rhône and two neighbouring municipalities co-hosted a workcamp for young internationals, giving rise to rich exchanges on the territory. The municipality of Saint Alban du Rhône recently acquired an old private property with a building and a huge park located in the center of the village. You will participate in the enhancement of this park and the laying out of trails.

Présentation du programmeLocated on the banks of the Rhône river, the property covers over 24,000 m² and consists of an 18th century mansion called Maison Foray, old stables and a wooded park. The rehabilitation of these buildings will make it possible to alleviate the medical and social needs of the municipality, while making it part of an intergenerational dynamic. A medical center and a structure to accommodate maternal assistants will be established in Maison Foray. The rear part of the park will house a residence for seniors comprising some twenty dwellings. Since 2019, the stables have been hosting a social centre for local youth. The work this summer will enhance the surroundings of the main buinding (Maison de Maitre, Master’s House) and the creation of footpaths through the park. You will work on the rocky mound located near the House and continue the cleaning work carried out by local volunteers in 2019 and then develop the trails. From the hill, you will have a breathtaking view of the Rhône river and the Pilat hills. You will be supervised by local volunteers who will be happy to share with you the history of the site and their technical knowledge.

A propos du logement sur placeYou will be accommodated in tents at the former local football grounds. You will use the shower and the sanitary facilities in the changing rooms. A kitchen will be set up under a barnum. The meals will be prepared collectively and you will be required to participate in daily tasks (cooking, washing dishes, cleaning). Located 10 minutes from your accommodation, you will walk to the site.

Localisation du projetLocated in Isère at the confluence of the Rhône and the Varèze rivers, Saint-Alban du Rhône is a dynamic town of 849 inhabitants. On both sides of the Varèze, you will have access to the leisure area composed of tennis courts, pétanque, a city-stadium, a skate park and a fitness trail. You can also use the barbecues in this area. The municipality plans to rent a minibus to help you discover the territory (Vienne, Lyon). A time will be organized so that you can meet the local young people and exchange with them. Finally, the associative network is very dense in the town, you can in particular be introduced to the game of local pétanque (boules lyonnaises). Many hiking trails pass through Saint-Alban du Rhône and allow you to discover the surrounding villages. You can also stroll along the Varèze canal.

A propos de l'organisation localeAIMS OF THE ASSOCIATION : Villages des Jeunes, regional delegation of Solidarités Jeunesses in the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur region The Villages des Jeunes act for the social integration and the participation of all volunteers as a part of its action, in particular helping the socially disadvantaged, locally, nationally and internationally. Its objective is to allow people from different social and cultural situations to work together at something useful. To enable this, the association runs two international hosting centres, the Faï farm and the hamlet of Vaunières. From these places, the association leads various types of activities (workcamps for disadvantaged people and volunteers, hosting events promoting social and international exchange…), which bring together people of different nationalities and cultures (volunteers, families, holiday makers), through several activities (decorating the buildings, environmental work, hospitality work, cultural activities, raising awareness about key issues such as environment), which operate within different areas both social and professional (such as vocational training, restoring abandoned buildings, preserving the buildings and the environment and thus the heritage of these places, supporting local projects and stimulating local social activities). http://www.villagesdesjeunes.org/ TARGET GROUP OF THE ASSOCIATION People (adults and teenagers) victims of exclusions, marginalized or living in precarious situations and international volunteers. PROJECTS: In Vaunières and the Faï, the association carries out different projects: Reception of groups and individuals: The reception activity is one of the most important ones, especially during summer holidays. Many groups, families and hikers stay at the centres, either to take part in renovation and construction activities or simply to take a holiday. Some other people also come for specific projects such as festivals and intercultural exchanges. Projects with people experiencing difficulties: In Vaunières, we host 3 to 4 teenagers faced with social and family difficulties all year through. The teenagers stay a few months with us, they take part in collective life and renovation work and we help them with their individuals projects. We also organise specific projects (trainings, holidays...) for young people who have dropped school, isolated mothers with their children, drug addicts, autistic people... These people stay with us for a few days. They come to discover a new environment, meet new people and to take time for themselves. Inclusion – training programme (Chantier d’insertion / Chantier école) Every year, this action targets ten to twelve local people confronted with social and professional difficulties. The people who take part in this action are salaried on a part time basis, they come to work 4 days a week. They contribute to the renovation work of the centres and help us with the reception of groups. International workcamps At the Faï and Vaunières or in the villages nearby, the association organises international youth workcamps in the period between April and October. Every year, these workcamps involve numerous volunteers coming from all over the world. ACTIVITIES Our actions are based on various pédagogical activities that allow everyone to participate, depending on their age, their desires and their abilities: - building heritage renovation projects - environmental preservation and enhancement projects - cooking and processing workshops - vegetable garden maintenance, animal care - organization of music and visual arts festivals - discovery of the mountain environment OPENING PERIOD Vaunières is opened form January to Décember The Faï centre is opened from April to Octobre.

A propos de l'organisation localeAssociation Community is located in the north of France in a small town called Arques. “Working for and with the community” is the driving creed for all our actions. Our core values are solidarity, human dignity and togetherness and our main aim is to understand the needs of the people who approach us and act in their best interest. Cooperation and sharing are pillar concepts for our organisation and this is why we are constantly looking for new opportunities of collaboration with other local or international institutions. In this sense, Association Community is a living space, full of resources, where a dynamic and competent team aims to support everyone at their own pace and according to their expectations. Driven by strong human values, we are committed to welcoming people of all ages, religions and social backgrounds. We work in particular for and with people in vulnerable situations, mainly youth, for whom we are developing customised support approaches. We collaborate thus with local and international partners, in order to give them the means to (re)define their lives and / or professional projects. Presently, our association focuses on activities which are centred on multiculturalism and international cooperation, environmental issues and ecological awareness, health and healthy lifestyle, digital literacy, sports. Focusing on non-formal learning methods, our workshops are mainly held under the guidance of our staff (experienced youth workers) who create and facilitate activities on specific topics, trying to offer their public real learning experiences. The activities of the association are structured on three different sectors of intervention: - Local Solidarity and Sustainable Development Department – covering all actions related to the sustainable development of our community; - Social Cohesion Department – engaged in helping and empowering the underprivileged and striving to create a strong web of support and a sense community belonging; - Youth Mobility and International Cooperation – aiming to give an international dimension not only to our association but to our community as well and to spread concepts such as international solidarity and cooperation. Within these three main areas of interest we are developing a wide range of activities that cater for a large audience (children, youth, adults and seniors). Among the activities that we propose to our public we may count: Sophrology, Digital Workshops, African Drums Lessons, Hip-Hop, English Classes, Cooking Workshops, Intercultural Workshops, Sustainable Development Workshops, Hand Crafts Workshops and many others. Moreover, wishing to offer a wider range of personal and professional opportunities to our local youth, we aim to make them aware of the existence of international mobility programmes. Most of the young people who attend our association come from underprivileged families, being generally excluded from mobility programmes for several reasons: lack of information, lack of awareness on the benefits of an experience abroad, fear of leaving home, lack of support and follow-up, etc. For this reason we believe that it is necessary to implement actions in this direction, in particular by raising awareness on the intercultural component from an early age in order to help young people broaden their mindset to new perspectives and develop their skills. Regarding this, we believe that the European Solidarity Corps programme is the piece of puzzle that matches and completes our vision on our local and international long-term solidarity project.

Présentation du programmeAssociation Community is a social center located in the rural area of the Hauts-des-France. Our three primary areas of focus are socio-professional insertion, ecological conservation and fostering intercultural mobility. We work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, from toddlers to seniors. The volunteering project aims to provide youth and individuals from our rural community an opportunity to engage with diverse cultures. We aim to foster an open and intercultural mindset among those who attend our center, especially the youngest! We organize intercultural and language workshops for children and teenagers, and we support local youth in participating in mobility programs. Volunteers will assist in managing these workshops and contribute to promoting intercultural mobility among the local youth, planning events and activities. We believe in the transformative power of non-formal education, in contexts such as ours, to enhance personal and professional trajectories!

A propos du logement sur placeThe volunteer will live in an apartment with two other volunteers. The apartment is located a 10-minute walk from the association. It consists on three single rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and all necessary amenities. Volunteers will receive monthly financial support for meals and pocket money. They will also be provided with an annual transportation pass and a bicycle if they wish.

A propos des activités de loisirs possiblesParticipation in both the arrival training and mid-term training is expected. If additional training sessions for both employees and non-employees are organized, it will be offered to the volunteers the opportunity to participate if they would like to.

ExigencesThe Participant profile: § Between 18 and 30 years old § Good knowledge of French language would be appreciated § Interest in the associative environment, interaction with the public (especially children and teenagers) and intercultural exchanges § Values of solidarity and respect § Ability to speak about intercultural topics and to adapt the wording according to the audience § Knowledge on project management, social media management are appreciated

A propos de l'organisation localeConcordia is a French non-governmental and non-profit organization for popular education ; Created in 1950, after the second world war, its first goals were to promote peace and tolerance between youngsters from Germany, GB and France, by participating actively to the reconstruction (monuments, infrastructures, housing…). Our motto, “Together, Elsewhere, Differently” is still summarizing Concordia’s today’s goals, which are : - Contributing to social life animation by the participation of french and foreign volunteers to the realization of general interest civil tasks. - Stimulating people and ideas’ circulation by international exchanges in order for everyone to know and understand each other for peace. - Promoting an educative project, supporting people’s active citizenship for a democratic, united and participative society, with an emphasis on european and international mobility for youngsters with fewer opportunities. Concordia’s main activity – at the national or regional scale – is to implement international workcamps for youngsters. When a municipality contacts us, we organize the venue of french and international volunteers in order to realize general interest civil tasks during two or three weeks. In the same time, Concordia is also promoting volunteering in general and making sure about the respect of its values ; in this capacity, we allow hosting organizations to benefit from volunteers help , and we help the volunteers with a strong mentoring during their experience. Even if we have sent two youngsters in Europe in 2020, Concordia Paca’s great beginning with the European Solidarity Corps have been slowed down by the global epidemy and the borders issues. Concordia is acting through several “Délégations” since the association started ; this allows us to take action both close to the territory and at the national scale in order to implement large-scale projects via the national head office in Paris. Thanks to this, we are active members of local, national and international alliances : Concordia Paca is member of the CAMI (international mobility actors in Paca Region) and of the CORAC (workcamps actors in Paca Region), but also member of the CRAJEP and Cotravaux at the national scale. Our international alliances are : CCSVI (from the Unesco) and the Alliance of Voluntary Service Organisations. Our commitments and goals allowed us to get a certification from the French Ministry of Environment since 1978, from the Youth & Sports Ministry since 2005 and from the Civic Service Agency since 2010. Concordia Paca is effective in th whole Paca Region, implementing projects in each department these last years. Our goals and the regional socio-economic context leads us to work mainly towards youngsters with fewer opportunities. This lack of opportunities may come from their social situation (partnerships with children’s homes, MECS, etc.), from their geographical situation (we implement projects in the very rural territories) and/or from their economical situation. In a continuous development since 2016, the Paca delegation wishes to continue its European commitment with ESC projects : either for individual volunteering (hosting and sending) or for volunteering groups (housing and sending), Concordia Paca is intimately convinced that participants, organizations and local communities will benefit from our ESC projects.

Présentation du programmeJoin us in restoring the Saint-Étienne chapel, a cherished gem of Istres' heritage! The chapel holds a special place in the hearts of Istres residents, radiating with soul and adoration. You'll contribute to constructing an open-air theatre adjacent to the chapel, using traditional dry stone techniques. The theatre will feature three stone tiers, providing seating for future events in this picturesque setting. This project is part of the broader initiative led by the "Saint-Étienne Renaissance" association, dedicated to revitalizing the chapel over a 20-year period. The association's vision is to breathe new life into this exceptional site, offering panoramic views of Provence, Istres, and the Berre and Olivier lakes, while preserving its rich historical significance. We're excited to welcome two young adults with mental disabilities, accompanied by their educator, to join us for the project duration. We are partnering with the NGO "UNAPEI,"

A propos du logement sur placeThe Résidence Lionel Trompette will welcome you for the duration of your stay. This is permanent accommodation: three small houses with individual beds and a communal outdoor terrace area. The sanitary facilities are in a heated building. You will share the various collective tasks and prepare meals together. A budget will be allocated to the staff and you will help with the shopping and meal preparation, giving priority to healthy, local produce.

A propos des activités de loisirs possiblesParticipants in the Saint-Étienne chapel restoration project will receive training in traditional dry stone techniques for constructing the open-air theatre, historical restoration methods, safety protocols, and cultural sensitivity. These trainings will empower participants to contribute effectively to the project, while the community living will also foster inclusivity, open-mindness, and cultural exchange.

ExigencesThe Participant profile: Looking for adventure, cultural immersion, and meaningful work? Join us in restoring the Saint-Étienne chapel! We seek volunteers passionate about heritage preservation, eager to learn traditional building techniques. If you value inclusivity, teamwork, and making a positive impact, this project is for you. Join our diverse team and embark on a journey of restoration and community building in Istres!
Deadline: Application deadline: 10/04/2024

Informations supplémentaires sur le projetThe project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
