A propos de l'organisation localeEgyesek Youth Association organizes this volunteer program together with the Learning Without Borders (LWB) project of Migration Aid (MigAid). The main goal of the project since April 2022 is to create the possibility for children to spend their days in a safe community as soon as possible after fleeing the war zone. Within the framework of the institution, they can participate in emotional, social, and integration programs, while we provide the opportunity to continue their studies and learn the Hungarian language.

Présentation du programmeThe aim of volunteering is most importantly to create and hold meaningful programs regularly which support the childrens fiscal development and studies, meanwhile helping with the everyday duties (lunch, cleaning) in the institution. An art and crafts or a hip-hop dance afternoon club for the small ones, and computer lessons for the older ones are just some of the possible classes that would improve their knowledge and spirit. Activities are planned from 11 am to 4 pm, but afterschool programs are possible too.

A propos du logement sur placeAll volunteers will be accommodated in a hostel in Budapest. Lunch will be provided in the institution, and breakfast and dinner are self-organized, but covered by the project cost.

Localisation du projetThe evenings and the second weekend you will be free to explore the city center of Budapest, which is a vibrant and fascinating metropolis where there s always something going on, so your leisure time in Hungary is going to be well spent.

A propos de l'organisation localeMigration Aid on top of running a refugee transit hostel and Ukrainian school in Budapest, Hungary aim to create a space where children can be psychologically rehabilitated. In this regard, theydevote a special role to animal-assisted healing spaces. As the first test Migration Aid bought in EsztergEUlyhorvEUti (countryside of Hungary) an empty, but utility-filled plot, on which there are currently only many trees. In an area of about 3 thousand square meters on the outskirts of the village, they plan to build 4-5 Green Shelter homes (suitable for 16-20 people), so the animal-assisted therapy space can help 300-500 affected children and their parents annually, counting on 2-week cycles.

Présentation du programmeVolunteer to create an animal-assisted healing space where children can be psychologically rehabilitated in a smaller community. The volunteers will support the set-up of the green shelters, build fences and barns and the overall preparation for the animal-assisted activities place. The place will be opened on 11th May, so this camp will support the finalisation of both the construction phase and the operation of the animal-assisted healing space.

A propos du logement sur placeVolunteers will live in the community centre of the village. There will be space inside the centre for half of the group (around 6 volunteers) and the other half (6 volunteers) will sleep in tents. MigAid will provide tents and sleeping bags. Camp leaders and volunteers will self-organise the breakfast and dinner, food will be provided. We will order lunch from the next village for each day.

Localisation du projetThe camp will take place right next to the "small Balaton" with an amazing landscape. Balaton is close to enjoying the lake, and HEvEz and Zalaegerszeg are the nearest cities with options for gastronomy and cultural programs. Although be prepared EsztergEUlyoshorvEUti is a very tinny village with 414 residents.

Informations supplémentaires sur le projetNo specific experience is required for this work. The volunteer work will be both lighter and heavier physical work, so feasible for girls and boys equally. There will be an initial discussion to decide which activities will be carried out by the different groups.
