About the local hosting organization

Subir al Sur was created in 2005 by Cecilia Milesi with the desire that more young people from Argentina and around the world have the opportunity, like her, to learn through local-global volunteering. Today, it is the intercultural volunteer program of SES Foundation that promotes community participation and youth leadership through Education for Peace.

Presentation of the programme

Through Subir al Mundo, young Argentines have the opportunity to live a volunteer experience in other countries. There are projects all over the world! Thanks to the partner organizations and networks of Subir al Sur, young people from Argentina can participate in international projects that contribute to their formation as Citizens of the World. New knowledge and languages, interculturality, solidarity, promotion of Peace, are some of the tools that this experience will bring to our youth to become global leaders. The only requirement to participate in a volunteer abroad is to be over 18 years old. You can choose between workcamps and short or long term projects.

Some of the themes that you can develop are:

• Projects for environmental protection and education

• Projects focused on children, adolescents and youth

• Projects focused on older adults

• Projects focused on people with disabilities

• Projects for community development

• Projects to strengthen skills in management, administration and communication tasks in organizations

• Art and culture development projects Projects focused on specific health issues.

(Note: Vous êtes logé(e) par notre partenaire local pendant le projet. Au cas où vous arrivez avant le debut du projet, vous pourrez réserver une chambre ici.)
