Additionally, volunteers will participate in the Afforestation Day to raise public awareness about forest protection and wildfire training, implement their own "Creative Project" to share their skills, and organize an Intercultural Night to present their traditions to the local community.

The ideal candidate should have an interest in organic farming, sustainable lifestyle practices, and cultural exchange. Since the project involves daily interaction with the local community through guided visits, public events, and workshops, volunteers should possess good communication skills, adaptability, and a strong sense of solidarity. Extra info about the projectThe project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
