ANTER (National Associationfor Support of Ecological Youth of Romania) was founded on 04 october 2008 in Craiova, Romania. Its goal is "to promote the development of civic consciousness in general and eco-civic consciousness particulary, but also to sustain the young people involvement in the civic life.
ANTER is a totally independent association which brings together young people with ages between18 and 35 years, from different areas without distinction of nationality, sex, religion, political and religious beliefs. ANTER has 20 members and more than 100 volunteers who are interested in solving environmental problemsand being involved in civic activities. Also, we had different activities regarding intercultural exchanges between people who belong to different cultures (Roma, Polish, Bulgarian, Greec, Turkish). Also, in all of our projects we involved fewer opportunities youngsters and some of them became members of ANTER Craiova.
ANTER is an NGO situated in Craiova, Romania one of the biggest cities of Romania.
Our team is young, fun and creative, but at the same time very experienced in the EVS field, fact that can be proved by our numerous ex-EVS volunteers all over the word very satisfied by their stage here.
Our main aim is to remind the community about their ecological responsibility through different types of activities, such as awareness campaigns, workshops, training courses, public events etc.
At local level we have partnership with most important public institutions, so for these reason we offer a great impact on the personal and professional development of the volunteers, adjusting the project activities to their learning needs.
In the present we offer for all volunteers on-going employ ability or entrepreneurial training courses in order to facilitate at the end of the EVS the "dream job" access.

Presentation of the programmeGo4Green4 is a 59-day European Solidarity Corps short-term team project taking place in Craiova, Romania, from 25 June to 23 August 2026. It brings together 16 volunteers, 8 local and 8 international, to create a sustainable and therapeutic urban garden inside the Women’s Detention Center in Craiova. The project aims to combine environmental action, inclusion, and wellbeing by using gardening as a practical and therapeutic activity for young people in a detention setting and raise awareness in the local community about sustainability, inclusion, and the positive role of green spaces in rehabilitation and social change. The project will engage volunteers in a range of environmental activities, including gardening, river cleaning, and forest waste collection, with the aim of promoting sustainability, ecological responsibility, and active community involvement.

Local accommodationVolunteers will be accommodated in rented apartments with shared bathroom and kitchen, max 2 in room divided by gender. The location will be equipped for basic needs, kitchen essentials, laundry facilities, wifi, please note that we cannot accommodate volunteers who prioritize high living standards. Volunteers will receive a food allowance of 6 euros/day and 4 euros/day as pocket money in lei Romanian national currency. A local public transport pass will be provided for each volunteer.

Extra info about the projectThe project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
