About the local hosting organizationThe Youth Policy and Social Innovation Department of the Municipality of Cinisello Balsamo, together with the European Projects Department (and its Eurodesk service), organizes and manages actions with/for young people aged between 16 and 30 years old. The activities promoted are aimed to develop the soft skills, referring to the key competences for lifelong learning as well as the growth of active citizenship and youth participation. As a Public Body we work for a youth policy shared strategy which leads to a sustainable development of the territory. Our approach is non-formal education, in which we developed expertise over local and European projects that include: - Training and professional orientation activities at multiple levels (i.e., alternation school-job, internship experiences, transnational mobilities, training courses). - Sense of initiative and entrepreneurship topics (like financing actions proposed and managed by youngsters and offering a co-working space) - Actions aimed to enhance the social and job market inclusion (information and orientation services, job proposals, projects aimed to enhance housing access). - Direct support to active youth participation in social life (National Civil Service, European Solidarity Corps). - Artistic workshops (in collaboration with local organizations and international networks to work on social inclusion for youngsters with various backgrounds in youth exchanges and events). - Digitalization (involving a project with the local co-working space, training courses and internships). - Training courses for youth workers to acquire and develop competences. Since 2005, the Service has taken part and managed over 40 European projects financed by Youth in Action, Lifelong Learning Program, Erasmus+ and Europe for Citizens.

Presentation of the programmeMEDIART project recognizes the needs of the local community and offers opportunities to young people to express their creativity, be more familiarized with non-formal education and school projects, develop their skills for their future life and labor market by practicing on tools & resources available digitally to support the current needs. MEDIART project, needs volunteers who actively participate, support and bring in their fresh new ideas, organize info campaigns about International Days promoting cultural diversity to the local community of Serres.

Local accommodation- We have a first-floor apartment in the center of the city , which consists of three double bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom, a very large living room and two balconies. About the leisure activities possibleTrainings: 1) Introduction training on how to organize a campaign/ digital campaign/Promotion campaigns 2) Management of the various social network channels 3) Youthpass and how to reflect on the 8 key competences 4) Workshop on the "Impact Tool" and how to create impact through campaigns 5) Workshop on effective communication and cooperation into the team 6) How to work and organize activities for/with refugees-immigrants 7) Radio station: spots, broadcasts & technical support, sound system control 8) Training in journalism, Ηow to write an article

RequirementsThe Participant profile: We are looking for young people who : - Are familiar with social media, (e.g Facebook, Instagram, Tik-Tok, YouTube) - Want to learn about radio and do broadcasts, spots - Be involved in the organization's various social network channels/activities - Implement indoor and outdoor activities/events that inspire further action - Create interesting content and write articles in project's blog - Organize linguistic lessons in their native language or in other ones that wish

Extra info about the projectThe project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment.
