The main achievement of the project is to protect the sea turtles with the help of volunteers who will be cooperating with a team of biologists. Up to now, the project has been quite successful and has reached extraordinary results. Participating in sea turtle conservation is a great opportunity to discover the rather charming life of sea turtles.

Depending on the number of turtles that come ashore, two teams might be formed among the volunteers. In this way, each group will be taking turns, working one night, and taking the next night off for recovery. In addition, the weekends are also spared for resting. Some of the activities to be performed are: 1.Finding adult turtles and collecting their eggs. 2.Moving the eggs to a protected place called Vivero. 3.Releasing newborn baby turtles into the sea. 4.Patrolling the beaches at night. 5.Making some reconstruction in the most important turtle camps of the region. Please consider that the schedule is subject to change depending on the weather conditions and the condition of the sea turtles and it is possible to work with crocodiles in case there is no work with turtles, this can happen mostly in the months of January and February. The coordinator or the camp leader will be informing you regarding your work schedule.

The center is called BRíš, and it is located in Hrutafjordur which is 36 km long fjord in Hunathing vestra, on the R1. Keep in mind that is a 1-hour drive to the closest city (Borganes). Based just off the main road, we are not set in a town, therefore the only way to get around is by car. Brú's stunning surrounding countryside offers the perfect tonic to relax and leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Around the house, you can find a lot of pure and unspoiled nature, waterfalls, rivers, canyons, and craters. The purpose of the center is to protect nature in the area and to raise awareness of sustainability among the locals and the visitors who are coming to the area. The area nearby is great for hiking. The best time to see aurora borealis in Iceland is between September and April. It's when the nights are dark enough to see the Aurora. Iceland only gets 2-4 hours of daylight in midwinter, providing endless opportunities to hunt for aurora borealis. We will also concentrate on intercultural learning and exchange. Every evening, volunteers from different countries will be in charge of presenting their country of origin and culture in an informal way. It can be a presentation, a game, or theatre – the form of introduction is up to you! Therefore, we encourage you to bring along some food, photos, or anything interesting related to your country for a fun and informative evening amongst other volunteers. WF Iceland will organize reasonably-priced weekend excursions to some of the most popular, beautiful areas and natural wonders that Iceland has to offer. Excursions include unique Icelandic sights, such as waterfalls, volcanic and geothermal areas, glaciers, lava forests, hot springs, rhyolite mountain ranges, steam vents, or even icebergs. This workcamp allows you to spend an amazing time in Iceland with other international volunteers and to have an incredible experience where participants share their knowledge while exploring creativity, environmental issues, and intercultural learning.

The main activity in Siglufjörður and í“lafsfjörður is forestry and community environmental care, with seasonal variations. Participants help take care of a manmade forest, working to improve and maintain the area, and also assist with beach cleaning activities during certain months. To help reduce our carbon footprint, we limit meat consumption and promote sustainable, plant-based meals. We do not provide soft drinks or candies, but we do offer plenty of ingredients for baking delicious snacks. As we bake our own bread, feel free to bring your favorite golden-crust recipe from home! Louyoung Cultural and Educational Foundation

Vision YouthAction was founded in 2002 by 30 young leaders who participated in international volunteer exchange project between Taiwan and U.S.A . From 2002 to 2007, VYA has been successful in setting up a regional youth volunteer center to promote very short term community service from one day to one week. Over 7,000 young people served as volunteers, donating more than 260,000 hours to social services in the past few years. In 2007 August, in collaboration with NICE Japan , the first international workcamp in Taiwan originated in a small fishing village in the mid-western coast of Taiwan . It has been developing rapidly and variously catering to the huge needs of projects & motivations of people! 

Since 2002, VYA had organized 5 international volunteer exchanges program between Taiwan and U.S.A. And over the years, in total, VYA had planned over 11 different types of voluntary service projects. Two of them were very short term community service projects from one day to one week and the others were from at least one week to three weeks.

In total, over 4359 youth volunteers come from 15 countries had got involved in all VYA voluntary service projects, which cooperated with over 255 local NPOs and international NGOs.

(1) Very short term community service projects (VSTCSP): Organizing with National Youth Commission, VYA encourage Taiwanese young people to get involved in community voluntary services. Every year, at least 2000 youth volunteers are involved in VYA VSTCSP and initiate more than 130 community service projects by themselves.

(2) Taiwan International WorkCamp: VYA organizes workcamps and bridge the gap between local and overseas NGOs for Taiwan volunteers. The first Taiwan international workcamp was held in 2007 in cooperation with NVDA and NICE. In 2007(2008), only one(3) project with 8(22) international vols and 17(30) local vols/ sent 10(80) vols to 3(14) countries.

【About this Journey】 Today, walking along the Yenping Historical Street, you can see 142 decorated historical houses in total. Most of them were built more than 90 years ago. A century ago, Yenping Street was the “downtown” with prosperity, but nowadays, as business gradually declined, the residents moved away from Xiluo and Yenping Street have become quieter. As a result, many houses have started to decay. Because of the "Community Renaissance" movement conducted by Luoyoung Foundation and local government, the street becomes prosperous again! In the past 9 years, we have invited many cultural groups and artists to visit and stay in Xiluo, and host different performances. At the same time, we are committed to promoting the art of sculpture and reserve more than 40 pieces of public art for Xiluo. They are arranged at the head of the Grand Xiluo Bridge and the Sculpture Park. We also hosted 11 international work camps focusing on renovating heritage houses. However, there are many sculptures that need to be refurbished, painted, maintained, and guaranteed. We hope to promote the transformation of Xiluo Bridge into a sculpture art gallery to prevent the sculptures from being worn out. Now, we have also established community colleges to help residents better understand local culture and keep up with international standards.Welcome to make friends with students from community colleges, Artistic creation ,teach English in elementary school, high school, or Yunlin Community College in Xiluo, and experienced traditional Taiwanese culture. Therefore, we would like to invite international friends to come join us. It is not only a voluntary work but also a precious opportunity to experience different culture and widen your horizons.

Aims

1) Creating international cultural exchange and supporting the development of Xiluo community.

2) Revitalizing Xiluo historical street.

3) Making friends with global backpackers.

4) Improving Xiluo’s quality of life.

W: Xiluo LMTV workcamp is going to assist Xiluo Eco Museum (Louyoung foundation). Volunteer need to do the daily house cleaning in Xiluo Eco Museum and backpacker house, help the foundation manage and update our social media, website, blog or Facebook. Volunteer has to maintain the backpacker house with comfortable living conditions. Volunteer will also do some gardening and join environmental community events etc…. Local volunteers will support international volunteer to run this project as well.  

Description of Main Works: 

Culture exchange:
Volunteer will be hosting guests and assisting various duties on the reception desk in a
rotating base. Volunteer will experience the culture of Xiluo, such as kung fu, hand puppet
shows etc. We expect the volunteer would merge these experiences with the culture of their
motherland and carry out creative ideas. We would be very grateful for any web content
inputs from the volunteer, such as videos, graphics, or podcast in social media for the
Cultural Museum and community colleges. Of course, the volunteer will have to maintain
the garden in the Louyoung foundation. (Something may be change, depend on your ability
to arrange the work)

English Exchange in school:
The volunteer will have the opportunity to participate in English teaching in schools or help
Community College. He/she will also help to translate some chapters and document.

WS: An example of a weekly schedule and program activities (Some may be changed!)
Both the work of be a culture exchanger or English teacher, have 30-32 working hours per week,
at least 2 free days per week (monday and tuesday). Volunteers can switch their duty and exchange work if needed. 8:30-17:30

Về chỗ ở1. Accommodation is at Xiluo Backpacker’s House. The address is: 2F, No.81 Yenping Road, located in town center. Volunteer can use bike for daily transportation and bus station, post office or 24h shop are just nearby. 2. A comfortable blanket and pillow will be provided so there is no need to bring a sleeping bag. 3.  * Internet is always available both in working place and accommodation. * There is a washing machine and refrigerator in the accommodation. * The weather changes a lot during the season, temperature could vary from 10℃ to 32℃, so please bring suitable clothes.

There will also be some “pocket money”, around NT$ 6000, to support daily food. Volunteer can cook by themselves or enjoy the delicious local food in Xiluo restaurants.

Xiluo, located in the middle of Taiwan the northeast Township of Yunlin County, is situated in the Zhuoshui River alluvial fan valley which decrease progressively from the east to the south. The great Xiluo Bridge is one of the most famous landmarks in Taiwan and has been standing on the River for 68 years. You can not only admire the beautiful sunset, but also enjoy the historical atmosphere and the typical Taiwanese culture in Xiluo old street.

Leisure Activities: Excursion, events organized by the foundation with local people, eco-tourism (optional), etc. 1hr to Taichung city and 2hrs to Tainan city by public bus.

It is a support for meetings and exchanges between everyone. For this reason, everybody is supposed to act responsibly and to take part actively in everyday tasks (permanent staff, salaried people, volunteers, holiday makers, groups). Meals, household, washing up and all the efforts to keep the area clean and tidy are carried out in turns and by small groups. The meals are taken all together between all the residents of the centre.

Về chỗ ởThe European volunteers are accommodated in the Farm House. The volunteers are accommodated in rooms of 2 to 4 people and have their own bathroom. Showers and toilets are situated in buildings. In the house, the living room and kitchen are shared with salaried people and sometimes groups. One of the toilets in Faï is a dry toilet. This dry toilet is part of the project of the association to manage the use of water. Indeed, the Faï farm is located in the South of France which is quite dry, especially during summer, and one aim of the association is to be environmentally friendly.

Về dự ána) Geographical environment: The Faï farm is situated 3, 5 km from the village of Le Saix, the closest village, and 17 km from the city of Veynes, in the north of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. Located at an altitude of 1000 metres in a valley, the place benefits from a well preserved environment composed of forests and mountain rivers. The mountains around offer many possibilities for beautiful hikes. Quite close to the Faï farm (25 minutes by walking) and up in the mountains, the ruins the old Abbaye of Clausonne can be visited. Le Saix, the closest village to Faï, has a population of about 80 inhabitants. It is set in a very rural area where people live mostly on agricultural and pastoral activities and are eager to develop tourism. The closest cities are: Gap (40 km), Grenoble (100 km), Sisteron (60 km), Marseille (200 km). b) Description of Faï reception centre The centre comprises 4 main buildings which allow it to accommodate up to 60 people during the summer.  Farm house: 8 beds in rooms of 2 to 4 people, independent kitchen and dining room, lavatory on the ground floor, showers and toilets are out of the building.  Aubergine house: 20 beds with one dormitory of 8 beds and 3 rooms for 3 or 6 people, collective kitchen and dining room on the ground floor shared by international volunteers, the permanent staff and the guests, showers and toilets on the first floor.  The Cochonniers: 13 beds in rooms of 4 or 5 people, showers and toilets are outside of the building.  The Bergerie: 2 flats with 4 beds and one flat with 8 beds, independent living room, showers and toilets in each flat. On the place, you will also find rooms for activities and parties, an open air theatre, a traditional oven to bake bread and pizzas, a wood and masonry workshop and gigantic trumps!

Here, you help to improve the health and lifespan of old fruit trees and thereby contribute to protecting a biodiverse habitat for small animals and birds. Under supervision you relieve the trees from heavy or rotten branches and collect as many apples, pears, and other fruit as you can for the local market and the fruit wine factory. Additional tasks await you in the forest where you will discover fall forestry duties with a ranger, and in the arboretum on the site — a beautiful botanical collection composed exclusively of trees and shrubs of a variety of species. This project is really for adventurers and nature lovers who want to try out living in nature and with nature even in autumn. You will be outside a lot, there will be campfires, improvised cooking, hikes and special nature experiences. Please be prepared that October can be warm and sunny but also quite fresh and rainy.

Về chỗ ởYou sleep on a youth campsite next to the orchard. Please bring a warm sleeping bag! In the farmhouse on the premises you’ll find showers, toilets, and an extra heated room should you want to dry your clothes. Outside is a large ‘bad weather shack’ that serves as lounge, kitchen or alternative sleeping place. Campfire spots are also available. The entire group does grocery shopping, cooking, and cleaning together. Food will be bought with the camp budget. To minimize our carbon footprint on the planet, we encourage volunteers to reduce meat and try more sustainable meals.

Về dự ánYou are just 10km west of the beautiful old town of Schwäbisch Hall with a few farmers as your neighbors. The landscape in this area is very beautiful, it is dominated by forests and green hills — a perfect place for easy hiking. A swimming lake (if it's still warm enough) can be reached by foot. Trips to the nearby brewery or the old town of Schwäbisch Hall with its museums, shops, and some traditional German historical buildings is also worth the time.

With historical rooms, the garden café, various types of gardens and its location surrounded by beautiful nature, it is a perfect place to meet with friends, enjoy a good piece of cake, or spend holidays. There are small concerts and exhibitions now and then and one flee market taking place. You also can play table tennis and football. Since 1992, the association has been organizing workcamps. Volunteers enjoy spending their time meeting and work together with the inhabitants. An organic garden, and an architect's office are the basis for the existence of the residents. If you like a simple analogue life with a basic standard, this is the right place for you Last but not least: a nice cat named Rudie is waiting to be petted by the volunteers! The aim of this project is to create an atmosphere where people with or without disabilities may come, live and work together without any prejudice against handicap, nationality, or religion.

There is work outside and inside: The meadow orchard must be cleared of bushes and, depending on the weather, apples can be collected and processed into apple juice. In the castle itself, there is painting and cleaning work to be done to maintain the building. Encounters with kids and people of the region are foreseen. We can make excursions to places of cultural and historical interest (e.g. Weimar, the city of Goethe and the former concentration camp Buchenwald). Meals will be prepared by the group (less meat but a lot of very good vegetables and fruits from the nursery). Warm water is provided by a solar collector and electricity. Please note: Rooms are heated with one big wood-burning stove. It can be chilly for people, who are used to central heating.

• Essong’olo Secondary School was established in 1994 by the local community and it is mixed for boys and girls and has a population of 350 students from form one four.
• The School is two streamed with a single large block of construction made up of eight classrooms, a staff room, Principal’s office, accounts Clerk office and a reception room that double as copy typist room. The School has an extension which acts as a library cum laboratory and Deputy Head teacher’s office.
• The School has three laboratories; the dining hall is under construction courtesy of funds from the Constituency Development Fund and there are plans to construct dormitory as the School intends to expand into a boarding School.

• The School occupies a land surface of 5 acres and has a teaching staff of ten teachers, six Government employed and four and employed by the School Board of Governors
• The School is growing rapidly due to the large area and the increased enrolment at Primary Schools within the division and hence the growing demand among students for high School education
• The institution acts as a focal point for the community mobilization in relation to community development of the area. Youths are very desperate and the fact that climatic situation is a hindrance to meaningful agricultural activities also deters their attention from positive contribution to both community and national level.

Home stay and the volunteer is entitled to private room but will share other amenities and meals with the host family. It is convenient for the volunteer to carry sleeping bag, mat and personal effects. KVDA has a memorandum of understanding with the host project regarding the project costs with appropriate procedures, checks and balances.

Water is available at the hosting house from springs and it is important to preserve water at all times due to its scarcity and cooperation with the hosts will be highly appreciated
There are no washing machines in the institution and the volunteer will be guided on how to wash clothes.

• Traditionally school terms in Kenya start in January, May and September annually but COVID-19 pandemic has altered the calendar with the crash program to catch up with lost time and this calendar will resume in 2023.

Financial contribution
•  For a one-month project, the participation fee is €300. For a two-month project, the participation fee decreases to €200 per month, or €400 in total. Similarly, for a three-month project, the participation fee is €200 per month, or €600 in total, and so on.
• Monthly payment of participation fees is not allowed for conventional purposes.

The castle has medieval origins dating back to the 11th century and developed over several centuries from a fortified complex into a mixed residential and agricultural ensemble. Notable features include a Romanesque double-floored chapel from the 12th century, traces of medieval fortifications and towers, a Renaissance-era manor house, and later farm buildings from the 19th and early 20th centuries. After decades of abandonment, the site has been gradually revitalised since the 1990s and today functions as a place for cultural activities, education, and volunteer-based site care.The next small towns are Bleicherode (approx. 6 km) and Nordhausen (approx. 20 km). The castle stands slightly above the surrounding villages and is reached via a forest road and walking paths.The workcamp takes place in a quiet, countryside setting. Volunteers should not expect urban leisure infrastructure, but rather a nature-oriented environment and simple village surroundings. In their free time, participants can go for walks or hikes in the protected natural area, relax at the castle, or organise informal group activities such as games, music evenings, campfires, or shared cooking.Depending on the groups interests, short excursions to nearby towns or cultural sites can be organised together during the stay.

This campaign is designed to raise awareness about the ongoing violence against women and girls in Nepali society and to empower local communities to take action.About the CampaignIn Nepal, violence against women and girls remains a serious and often hidden problem. It is reported that one-third of married women face emotional, physical, or sexual violence from their spouses. Beyond this, thousands of girls and women are trafficked into forced labor or prostitution each year. Around 5,000 to 12,000 girls aged 10 to 20 are trafficked annually, with 75 of them being under 18 years old. Sadly, many of these women are forced into prostitution.There are many forms of violence that women and girls face in Nepal, including:-Sexual abuse, incest, and rape, often committed by family members.-Trafficking and forced prostitution.-Neglect that can even lead to death.-Feticide and infanticide are often due to gender preference.-Dowry demands and wife abuse.This campaign will educate the community on human rights and violence against women, empowering them to make a stand for change.What Makes This Campaign Special?1.Powerful Awareness Campaigns: The campaign will deliver strong messages of empowerment, such as Say NO to Violence against Women through public drama performances. Worldwide Friends began restoring this site in 2023 after it had been abandoned for several years, transforming it into a welcoming home and learning environment. The main focus of the project is soilwork and environmental restoration — combating erosion, nourishing the land with organic waste, and planting trees to support long-term revegetation. The site covers 300 hectares within a protected Geopark that features several hiking trails. We also monitor tree plantations from previous years and collaborate with the local municipality to maintain hiking paths and surrounding protected areas. Greenhouse and agriculture-related tasks may also be part of the work but are secondary to the main goal of restoring and protecting the local environment. When weather conditions are not suitable for outdoor work, volunteers will help with renovation or maintenance tasks such as painting or small repairs inside the house. Please note that tasks and workshops may vary depending on the season, project needs, and weather conditions. Volunteers should be ready for physical, outdoor work and changing weather — as we say in Iceland: “If you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes!“ This is a perfect camp for people who like outdoor work and physical challenges. It can be tempting to get closer to touch the hot springs but make sure to stay away from them and on the marked path as the heat is 80-100 degrees Celsius. You should not go for high or steep mountains without a professional guide. Keep in mind this is a highly active geothermal area. The best time to see aurora borealis in Iceland is between September and April. It's when the nights are dark enough to see the Aurora. Iceland only gets 2-4 hours of daylight in midwinter, providing endless opportunities to hunt for aurora borealis. We will also concentrate on intercultural learning and exchange. Every evening, volunteers from different countries will be in charge of presenting their country of origin and culture. It can be a presentation, a game, or a theatre – the form of introduction is up to you! Therefore, we encourage you to bring along some food, photos, or anything interesting related to your country for a fun and informative evening amongst other volunteers. Về công việc của tình nguyện viênThe main goal is to support families in preparing children for school and to teach and develop children’s physical, mental and social skills. The values of the organisation are openness, creativity, tolerance, respect, caring and courage. The kindergarten has 12 classes for 1.5-7 years old children. The main activity is to teach children creativity through play. The kindergarten is in a green district of the Estonian capital within walking distance or short public transport trip from downtown. By including an international volunteer in our kindergarten, our goal is to improve together our main values through intercultural learning and get a fresh bystander view of our organization. At the same time, the volunteer can contribute with innovative ideas to engage with children, parents, teachers and the community. Về chỗ ởESC Volunteers will be provided with suitable accommodation conveniently located near their respective hosting organisation. Accommodation will typically be in a shared apartment or hostel, furnished with essential items. Rooms may be private or shared, depending on availability, with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. Volunteers receive €5/day pocket money and additional €7/day food allowance, managing their own meals. International travel is reimbursed based on set travel budget and task related local transport is covered to full extent.

Về giải tríVolunteers will take part in the ESC training cycle organized by the Estonian National Agency, which focuses on personal development and intercultural learning. Additionally, EstYES organizes hikes and other activities for volunteers throughout the service period, providing opportunities for social interaction.
