Our projects bring together groups of young people (scouts, youth centres, schools, etc.) around a project that lasts on average 2 or 3 weeks. The projects cover different fields : environment, renovation, education, children animation, culture, heritage, etc. All our projects abroad are set up by non-profit local associations.
If your group is interested by our association and one of our project, you can contact us by email (firstname.lastname@example.org), by phone or by coming to our office.
The most important is to understand what volunteering is and to actively take part in the project’s preparation. Being a volunteer without being prepared won’t be beneficial, neither for your group nor for the host association. Together, and depending on your destination wishes, we will choose a useful project that will meet your criteria and will allow you to get fully involved.
Once the project has been chosen and that you have handed in your application form, we will contact the partner and will work together on the organization of a project adapted to your group and your desires.
We work hand in hand with partner associations of different countries that can welcome groups of motivated volunteers. The minimum age of 18 is not obligatory if the group is supervised by adults.
Don’t forget that the SVI is not a travel agency selling « volunteering travels » but a non-profit youth organization that wants to promote an active youth citizenship. This means that during your project, your group won’t be considered as a client but as active and proactive volunteers who collaborate with the SVI. Our volunteering projects are designed by and for young people, by and for the group. Alternative tourists are not welcome J !
