Honduras is not only a matter of beautiful landscapes : the Maya Empire represented by the great legacy of the Copán Ruinas, treasure of the Central America civilization is today considered as one of the most important archeological resources of this time, especially given the almost intact bas-reliefs that represent the history of this fascinating civilization. We talk there about an ancient population with an advanced culture and majestic constructions that disappeared little by little after the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors. About this, the colonial heritage also marks the country’s culture as well as the traditions of the ten ethnic groups present throughout the country (the Lencas, Garifunas, Miskitos…).
