SVI supports Boinc program
For many years, Service Volontaire International has been involved in the BOINC program, a shared computing platform. BOINC enables volunteers to take part in scientific projects likely to advance science in fields such as medicine, astronomy, physics, or mathematics.
By operating BOINC, Service Volontaire International offers part of the computing power of its office computers to several of these scientific projects, which sometimes have major needs but do not always have the financial means to fund the use of a supercomputer. Service Volontaire International is involved in the SETI@home, Asteroids@home, World Community Grid and FightMalaria@Home projects.

Extra information
At the request of the French organization “UBIFRANCE” active in corporate “volunteering”, concerned that young people might confuse the terms “Service Volontaire International” and “Volontariat International en Entreprise”, we confirm that our youth association Service Volontaire International, has of course strictly nothing to do with their international corporate “volunteering” program. Service Volontaire International sends its volunteers exclusively on non-commercial projects and NEVER into companies. Furthermore, all our volunteers are unpaid.
