Become an animator in Belgium or Vietnam

Once a year,SVI organizes a training weekend for workcamp animators. It is followed by a written test. It allows them to animate one of our workcamps, in Belgium or one of our projects in Vietnam.

The training includes various topics such as international projects history and philosophy, an introduction to group dynamics, conflict resolution, project management, community kitchen, first aid, group guidance... Whenever it is possible, we try to invite foreign trainers to enhance training.

The animators are not paid but are exempt from registration fees for a year when they lead a workcamp.

If you have already trained as an animator in another association (eg Scout, playground) you can ask to be excused from a part of the training.
